The Care-for-Rare Foundation builds bridges between physicians, scientists, patients and the world of media, business and politics, regardless of ethnicity, believes and convictions, or wealth. Any sick child with a rare disease deserves attentio

n and care. Strategy
The Care-for-Rare Foundation follows a strategic roadmap aiming to increase awareness, to provide acces to modern medicine in particular for patients from underpriviledged countries, and to foster clinical and basic science research activities. The international Care-for-Rare Alliance is composed of academic pediatric centers and scientific institutions collaborating in a harmonized effort. The Care-for-Rare Academy follows the train-the-trainer principle to educate future leaders in the field of genomic medicine. Furthermore, the Care-for-Rare Foundation establishes and supports centers of excellence („Care-for-Rare Centers“) to promote clinical and translational science.
