Angesichts des Attentats auf den CSD Berlin wollen wir einen Raum schaffen, in dem ihr Unterstützung findet, über eure Gefühle sprechen könnt und nicht allein sein müsst. Ihr findet uns ab 19 Uhr auf der Mahnwache oder ab 20 Uhr im Gebäude der StuVe (Leopoldstraße 15) - unabhängig davon, ob ihr an der LMU studiert oder nicht

After the attack on Berlin pride it is difficult to find the right words for the circumstances and all the pain that is experienced. We are deeply shaken and emphasize with those affected and their loved ones.
We want to center the pain of those affected. We stand in solidarity with the victims that were fighting for equality and freedom and have sacrificed their safety and comfort.
This is an attack on the whole LGBTQIA+ community. It shows a societal shift towards more and more violence against q***r people.
In these trying times it is more important than ever to stick together and create a space especially for the youth to express their feelings and fears. We will participate in the Mahnwache and from 8 pm we will provide some hot meals at the Studierendenvertretung since we know how difficult it can be in such situations to take care of yourself.
Our doors are open for everyone who is struggling and might need support - no matter whether youre a LMU student or not. Everything youre feeling during this time is valid.
Despite everything we must not give in to hate or let right wing groups who now appear to be fighting for our rights to instrumentalize us to spread more hate amongst other margenalized groups. We can not allow racism, islamophobia or any form of discrimination against other marginalized groups to be the answer to the horrible actions of single persons.
The love we show at pride should always be louder than the hate spread elsewhere.
