International Neuroscience Summer School for final & penultimate high school students

Munich NeuroCamp Summer School is a public outreach project targeting senior Gymnasium students from various schools in the Munich area. For two weeks students will be exposed to the various fields of Neuroscience research to gain new insights.

Day 5 at Neurocamp! 🎨🧠

Day 5 was all about bridging the gap between Science and Art with our NeuroArt Workshop, led by the Neuroscientist Enya Weidner & the Artist dennis aycicek, from EDGE!🫟🖌️🧠🧬

Neuroscience can sometimes feel abstract and complex, so through this interdisciplinary session, we explored how artistic practice can help us engage with complex scientific content in a creative, accessible way. 🖌️⚡️

Afterward, we got to meet the tutors during their presentations and wrapped up the day with a fun social activity with the whole Neurocamp team! 🎉✨

Day 4 at Neurocamp! 🧠🤖

What a day! We went from learning about microgravity’s effect on the brain to checking out a live fMRI demonstration, exploring AI & Machine Learning in healthcare, and finishing up with a hands-on microscopy session! 🔬💻⚡️

Day 3 at Neurocamp! 🧠✨

Another inspiring day full of Neuroscience, curiosity, and great discussions!

A huge shoutout to our amazing speakers:

From an engaging hands-on session on bringing neuroscience into the classroom, to exploring how life in the womb shapes brain development, and an incredible “Ask Anything” panel with experts from across the field (thanks to Dr. Daloha Rodriguez-Molina, Dr. Sofia Kalpazidou, Dr. Laura Borgstedt and Deeksha)
it was a day packed with learning and inspiration. 🙌

We wrapped up the day with a fun Pub-Quiz session, putting our knowledge to the test and ending on a competitive (and very entertaining!) note.

Day 2 at Neurocamp! 🧠✨

Today was all about Systems Neuroscience: from diving into how the brain communicates to exploring sleep, anesthesia, and mitochondrial energy in our neurons. 🧬⚡️

We also leveled up our science communication skills with “Show Your Science”, learning how to create awesome presentations and posters! 📊💡🗣️
