I highly recommend the Austrian Centre for Peace (ACP) IPT Core Course for Peacebuilders to those interested in advancing their peacebuilding practice. Dates and Place: 20 - 30 April 2024, Stadtschlaining, Austria.

My endorsement comes from personal experience. I took the core course in 2005 and further developed my expertise with specialisation IPT courses in International Civilian and and International Human Rights Monitoring and Promotion.

The Martin Roth-Initiative is launching a new call for applications.

The Martin Roth-Initiative supports artists and cultural actors at risk by providing financial support for temporary relocation to Germany or within their region of origin. Until 15/04/2024, artists and cultural actors at risk can apply together with non-profit host organisations for safe and creative residencies in Germany for up to 15 months.

Please note that all funding is channelled through designated host organisations and an application can only be made in tandem by an artist or cultural actor with a host organisation. Host organisations can be cultural institutions or collectives (e.g. museums, theatres, festivals etc.) and other relevant organisations. They host scholarship holders and provide support for their personal well-being and professional development. Host organisations are responsible for the administrative and organisational implementation of the temporary relocation. Direct grants without a host organisation are excluded. Only one application per host organisation can be accepted.

Details on funding criteria and the application procedure can be found on our website. In addition, we offer online workshops for interested host organisations on 14/03/2024 and 08/04/2024 on questions related to the application process as well as the role and responsibilities of host organisations. Further information can also be found on the website.

Application deadline: 15/04/2024, 23:59 Berlin time/CEST
Start of scholarship from 01/09/2024 onwards
