IAPA was founded by leading au pair organisations in 1994 at the WYSTC (World Youth and Student Travel Conference) in Vancouver, Canada. IAPA’s main aim is to protect the rights of all au pairs and host families and at the same time establish internationally approved guidelines for au pair exchange programmes. With growth in the industry came the need for regulation at an international level. IAPA

aims to meet this need by developing a system of self-regulation and by introducing professional standards which our member organizations have to meet.

🌍 A Warm Welcome to Our Newest IAPA Affiliate Member!

We are pleased to introduce Scandinavian Au Pair Center (SAPC) from Sweden as our latest Affiliate Member. For more than 20 years, SAPC has been a full-service au pair agency with deep roots in Scandinavia and a strong international reach. Over the decades, they have built a solid reputation for expertly guiding both au pairs and host families through every step of the au pair journey.

SAPC supports au pairs and hosts with the complete process: matching, agreements, insurance, documentation, visa applications, legal guidance, language school applications, tax-related matters, and ongoing support throughout the programme. They work closely with immigration authorities and embassies worldwide, always ensuring compliance with the rules and regulations.

At the heart of everything they do is a genuine commitment to quality and customer satisfaction which are values that align perfectly with the IAPA mission.
