Die Sauti Kuu Foundation ist bestrebt, weltweit benachteiligten Kindern und Jugendlichen Perspektiven für ein selbstständiges Leben zu geben. Benachteiligten Kindern und Jugendlichen aus sozial schwachen Familien, insbesondere in ländlichen Gebieten und in den städtischen Slums, wollen wir dabei helfen, die Stärke der eigenen Stimme und die Kraft des eigenen Potenzials zu erkennen und mit den Mögl

ichkeiten, die sie vor Ort haben, etwas aus ihrem Leben zu machen. Wir versuchen zusammen mit ihnen Wege zu finden und Strukturen zu schaffen, die die jungen Leute und ihre Familien psychisch, sozial und finanziell zur Eigenständigkeit verhelfen. Unser Ziel ist es, die jungen Leute dabei zu unterstützen, positiv zur Entwicklung ihrer Gemeiden beizutragen. Wichtig ist vor allem dabei, den jungen Menschen zu vermitteln, dass sie nicht Opfer des sozialen Systems oder ihrer Umwelt sein müssen.

At Sauti Kuu Foundation, we pay tribute to the incredible parents in our community who work tirelessly on their farms. Their labour begins before sunrise and continues long after sunset—driven by love, resilience, and the determination to provide for their families.

On this Labour Day, we honour their strength, their sacrifices, and their unwavering commitment to building better futures through farming. They are not just farmers—they are providers, role models, and the backbone of our communities.

Today, and every day, we stand with them. 💚

Construction is moving steadily at our Children’s Learning Center, with key structures taking shape and the space coming to life step by step. Each phase brings us closer to a safe, engaging environment where children can play, learn, and grow. Thank you to everyone supporting this project—we’re excited to share more as work continues. 💚

The Sauti Kuu Basketball Court in Alego, Siaya County is transforming lives using sport as a powerful tool for youth development, mentorship, and community empowerment.

Since 2018, this flagship facility built in partnership with Giants of Africa has provided a safe, inclusive space for young people to learn, grow, and lead.

Now upgraded with improved infrastructure, floodlights, and essential amenities, it stands as a professional, all-weather hub for opportunity and impact.

Together, we’re building athletes and their futures. 🌍✨

Our Founder & Director, Dr. Auma Obama, joined a powerful panel for Art of Order. Art of Order brought together voices shaping conversations on justice, identity, and accountability. The evening brought together film, dialogue, and critical reflection on civic responsibility, justice, and the role of storytelling in shaping society.
With screenings of The People Shall and What Shall I Wear To My Funeral, the conversation explored youth engagement, accountability, and the evolving democratic landscape—issues that remain at the heart of Sauti Kuu’s mission.

Exploring new partnerships for impact! 🤝

Our Director Dr. Auma Obama and staff member Diana recently visited the Human Needs Project (HNP) in Kibera, Kenya, to explore opportunities for future collaboration.

Since opening the Kibera Town Centre in 2014, HNP has been transforming lives in informal settlements through access to education, clean water, sanitation, sustainable agriculture, and economic empowerment. Their community-run approach combines essential services with skills training, urban farming, and holistic community development.

This collaboration matters to us because we share a common vision: empowering communities from within by investing in young people and families. Together, we can strengthen our impact, learn from each other, and build sustainable solutions that support long-term social and economic development in our communities.
