Björn Ulvaeus recorded a opening keynote to Canada’s National Summit on Artificial Intelligence and Culture on 16 March 2026.

At Canada’s National Summit on Artificial Intelligence and Culture, CISAC President Björn Ulvaeus delivered a recorded opening keynote urging policymakers to ensure the rapid development of AI strengthens, rather than undermines, the rights of creators.

Speaking from his experience as a songwriter, Ulvaeus reminded participants that while many creators are exploring the possibilities of AI, the technology must not be built on the uncompensated use of human creativity.
He outlined three key principles that should guide AI regulation:

• transparency about the works used to train AI systems
• the ability for creators to license their works
• guaranteed remuneration when those works are used

“The choices made in legislation and regulation today will shape how human creativity is valued in the age of machines,” Ulvaeus said.

The two-day summit, hosted by the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity and the Government of Canada, brought together leaders from the cultural sector, government, tech and academia to discuss how AI is reshaping Canada’s creative industries and the policy responses needed.

Queen Silvia was honoured with a special performance by "Mamma Mia! The Party"

On 18 March 2026, there was a special performance of "Mamma Mia! The Party" at Tyrol in Stockholm arranged for the benefit of the World Childhood Foundation, as a tribute to The Queen on the occasion of Her Majesty's 50 years as Queen of Sweden. Among the guests were members of the royal family as well as friends and Swedish entertainment profiles.

Björn Ulvaeus surprised Queen Silvia with a speech based on the song “Dancing Queen” which was performed by ABBA at the Royal Opera on the evening before the wedding of Queen Silvia and King Carl XVI Gustaf in 1976.

The invited guests paid between SEK 3,500 and 5,000 but were also encouraged to swish a gift to Childhood. The money went in full to the Queen's charity, which raised SEK 2.6 million during the evening.

Yesterday, legendary BRAVO photographer Bubi Heilemann visited the Cloppenburg Museum Village, where an exhibition of BRAVO star clippings is on display until September 2026.
In his fascinating presentation, he spoke about the creation of his photos with many international stars, including, of course, ABBA. He also briefly invited Regina Grafunder, the head of the ABBA Intermezzo fan club, onto the stage. During the intermission and after the presentation, he generously took time for the audience, who wanted photos and autographs. We were deeply impressed by his incredible patience and warmth, and of course by his exciting experiences with the stars. Thank you, Bubi, for an unforgettable evening.

The exhibition runs until September 27, 2026. A visit to the Cloppenburg Museum Village is worthwhile not only for the fantastic BRAVO star clippings exhibition but also for the entire museum village (be sure to visit the recreated 70s disco... you can even choose "Dancing Queen" there!). www.museumsdorf.de
