Ramstein Intermediate PTA

This is a private organization. It is not part of the Department of Defense or any of its components and it has no governmental status.

RIS PTA was founded in 2006. Prior to 2006, the organization was a PTO. The PTO changed to a PTA to utilize the advocacy resources available through the European PTA and the National PTA. Historically, it is this advocacy resource that supported legislation in favor of kindergarten classes, child labor laws and hot and healthy lunches, to name just a few. PTO’s do not have this legislative advocac

y support system. RIS PTA is able to use these same advocacy channels today to make improvements in the DoDDS system. Our main objective is to promote the welfare of children in home, school and our community. RIS PTA sponsors numerous programs throughout the year to include: Family Bingo Night, Marathon Club, Reflections, Spelling Bee, Field Day, Enrichment Assemblies, Scholastic News, Scholastic Book Clubs, Millionaire’s Club and Teacher Appreciation. These programs and events are financed by our fundraising efforts: Box Tops, School Photos, Reading Contest, Book Fairs, Original Works art, Student Store, Spirit Wear, Yearbook, and Snack Shack. ROSC, KLSA and RESA are also generous supporters of RIS PTA. European PTA recognized RIS PTA as the European PTA Unit of the Year for 2013-14 & 2023-24.

We have some fantastic news for everyone. We now have Zip-Up Hoodies for PRE-ORDER! This item has been long awaited for and we can't wait to see these on campus! 🐆 After a long wait, we’re excited to announce the zip-up hoodie! This zip-hoodie is printed on all three sides. The special design celebrates our school, our Jaguars, and the connection between our American and German communities.

What a PAWSitively wonderful way to start the school year! 🐾💙

The PTA was thrilled to be there for the first day of school yesterday and celebrate the start of another amazing year with our students and families!

From Friday’s Sneak-a-Peek—where families met teachers, joined the PTA, and grabbed some school spirit gear—to welcoming everyone back for the first official day, we’ve loved seeing so much excitement throughout our school community.

We’re looking forward to an incredible year filled with learning, laughter, friendship, and plenty of Jaguar pride! 🐆✨
Here’s to an amazing year for EVERY student. We’re so glad we get to be part of it!

PS: Some of you have been asking if we have more JAG FLAG T-shirts coming and the answer is YES!!!! We are getting them back in stock ASAP! We will announce here as soon as they arrive!

Happy 1st Day of School Eve Jaguars!!!!

We had some fabulous Jaguar volunteers come in today to get RIS ready to welcome all of you Jaguars back to school tomorrow!

Here is a sneak peek of the chalking of the walk that took place today! (In case it rains 🥰)

But don't worry Jaguars we a few other fun surprises to welcome you back tomorrow as well!

So get your backpacks ready, sleep well and see you bright and early in the morning!

Good Morning Jaguars!

We are chalking the walk and decorating our pathway at RIS today at 3pm to welcome all of our Jaguars back to school tomorrow!

Don't let the chance of rain scare u off today!

We have plenty of ideas that are rain proof!

So.come on out and help us make the first day of school tomorrow fun and bright!

Happy Friday Jaguars!

Spot was excited to hear that Sneak Peek was so full of returning Jaguars and new Jaguars alike today!

Spot has one more summer adventure to tell you about!

Yesterday Spot found one more brown autobahn sign to adventure to!

Ludwigskirche Saarbrucken (about 40 mins from RIS)

So beautiful, especially inside! Construction began in 1762 and finished in 1765.

Next Spot found Schloss Saarbrucken! Built in the early 18th Century.

Spot celebrated the end of summer with some treats from a local café!

Happy last weekend of the summer Jaguars!

Welcome back, teachers and staff! 🍎📚

The PTA was so happy to help kick off the new school year with a welcome-back breakfast featuring fruit, muffins, croissants, chips, crackers, water, protein drinks—and a big thank-you for all you do! ❤️ We sure hope you enjoyed our play on words first thing in the morning! We can guarantee more “pun-filled” shenanigans throughout the year! 😄
