TED is an annual event that brings together the world’s leading thinkers and doers to share ideas that matter in any discipline—technology, entertainment, design, science, humanities, business, development. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxUniMannheim, where x = independently organized TED event at
the University of Mannheim. At our TEDxUniMannheim event, TED Talk videos and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized. WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT? Our TEDx event is devoted to the idea of bringing together young talented students with remarkable and interesting scientists, artists and entrepreneurs under the guiding theme: “Out of the ordinary”.
“Out of the ordinary” - We are a multicultural team with international members studying different subjects. We want to provide a platform that creates lasting connections between the participants, organizers, and speakers to establish a network that encourages both mutual learning and spreading innovative ideas. Our goal is to spread ideas that are unconventional and to give the participants an extraordinary perspective which makes them reflect their own perceptions. WHO ARE WE? The organization team consists of a small international group of motivated students from the initiative MaXperience e.V. at the University of Mannheim.
