Zusammen erkunden wir die Schwetzingerstadt mit eurem Blick. Wo fühlt ihr euch wohl? Für wen und von wem wurde dieser Stadtteil gestaltet? Und wie können wir uns als Mädchen* den öffentlichen Raum zurückerobern?

Es wird lehrreich, lustig und bestimmt auch ein bisschen wild.
Kommt mit und bringt eure Freundinnen* mit.

Wir treffen uns am 11.03. um 16h vor dem Jugendtreff Schwetzingerstadt.

Der Spaziergang ist vor allem für Mädchen* und Frauen* gedacht, wenn du als Junge* trotzdem Lust hast, eine neue Perspektive auf deine Stadt kennenzulernen, bist auch du herzlich eingeladen :)

Am 07. März gucken wir mit einem kritisch-hoffnungsvollen Blick auf die Sorgestrukturen unserer Stadt:

Stadt ist mehr als Beton, Verkehr, Einkaufszonen und Verwaltung. Stadt ist Beziehung, Zeit, Körper, Nachbarschaft, Unsichtbares.
In diesem Format bewegen wir uns gemeinsam durch die Mannheimer Innenstadt und schauen mit anderen Augen auf den Stadtraum. Wir fragen: Wer sorgt hier – und wer nicht?
Wir kartieren Care, sammeln Eindrücke, Stimmen und Emotionen und machen Sorgestrukturen sichtbar – auch dort, wo sie fehlen.

Nächste Woche startet unsere neue Orientierungsphase 👏🏼👏🏼

2026 hat gerade erst begonnen – der perfekte Moment, um neue Skills zu lernen 😉
Starte im Februar bei TUMO und probier dich z.B. im Lernfeld 3D-Modeling aus. 🥳

Hier kannst du deine kreativen Visionen umsetzen und eigene Modelle designen 🖨️✨

Im letzten Jahr konnten viele spannende Modelle von unseren Jugendlichen umgesetzt werden – von Tannenbaumkugeln 🎄 über Schlüsselanhänger 🔑 bis hin zur TUMO-Rakete. 🚀

Hier kannst du nicht nur Roboter bauen, sondern lernst sie so zu programmieren, dass sie Aufgaben erfüllen können. 🦾

Unsere Teilnehmenden haben letztes Jahr erfolgreich bei Explore Science teilgenommen. ✨
Sie haben einen Roboter entwickelt, der Weltraumschrott einsammelt – ziemlich cool!
Ob unsere Tumonians dieses Jahr wieder bei Explore Sience am Start sind? Wir halten euch auf dem Laufenden. 😉

💪 Strengthening Entrepreneurial Spirit
We focus on recognising young people’s creativity and resilience, helping them grow sustainably and strengthen their entrepreneurial spirit (Theresa Wigley, South Africa)

🐲 Creatures Project: Teenagers explored fantasy worlds through storytelling, art, and digital creation, culminating in a collaborative exhibition that celebrated creativity, experimentation, and shared learning (Milena Lachmanowits, France)

💫 Care To CHANGE: Over five months, youth and activists co-created a participatory mural on Fish Hoek Beach, using public art to inspire positive environmental and social change (Claire Homewood, South Africa)

👂 Using the Silent Lab Tool: Discovering the Silent Lab in Mannheim sparked a creative experiment with writing, sound, and myths in France—an approach we now plan to develop into longer, educational workshops for youth (Milena Lachmanowits, France)

🌺 The Bull of Life: Amid food, flowers, and fire, energy flowed endlessly—bringing play, improvisation, and the joy of performance to life in unexpected, unforgettable ways (Serge Bolze, France)

🎪 Forum Theatre – Trying it Out and Being Inspired: Learning Forum Theatre in France inspired me to try it with students, exploring issues like sexism and racism, and it keeps influencing my youth work (Sarah Pint, Germany)

🌱 SEEDS 4 YOUTH: In the course of this project, all participants collected stories and memories of the experiences shared during the mobilities in Italy, South Africa, Germany and France. This week it’s all about Where People Meet and Methods Grow

🇿🇦 South Africa Hosting: Hosting our SEEDS-partners meant sharing our land, stories and realities — deepening understanding, strengthening connections, and learning together through honest exchange (Claire Homewood, South Africa)

🤝 Community: Meeting Mannheim’s community development manager highlighted how local change grows from recognising diverse communities and acting together. Building community isn’t a threat to democracy — it’s how democracy stays alive and responsive (Laurelou Pelletier, France)

🫆 Context Analysis: Understanding a place means observing who is there, how it works, and what shapes daily life. In Mannheim, initiatives like the TUMO Center show how strong ideas adapt through constant reflection Ivana Ristovska, Italy)

🧑‍🍳 Cooking Workshop: In Turin, cooking together showed how food can break barriers. Shared pizza-making with diverse participants created connection, inclusion, and community — and sparked ideas to use gastronomy as a social and educational tool (Milena Lachmanowits, France)

🎭 Big Game: Through immersive role-play and shared storytelling, the Big Game turns learning into collaboration. By creating spaces, solving riddles, and exploring themes like farming and culture, participants learn together — without winners, but with shared ownership and creativity (Milena Lachmanowits, France)

👀 Seeing home through the perspective of others: „The beauty of travelling is that it always changes the idea of “home”, both in the mind of those who arrive and those who welcome them“ (Flavio Vigna, Italy)

👁️ Flexibility, Adjustment and Eye-to-Eye Level: A Kamishibai workshop in France showed how flexibility and respect shape powerful learning spaces. Despite changes and language barriers, the facilitator adapted with ease, met children on eye level, and ensured every voice was heard. The result: storytelling as a simple, lived practice of participation and democracy (Jule Reicherter, Germany)

🍫 Chocolate, Poetry & Beats – A local youth activity: „It was a night to remember—and a beautiful reminder that community, like chocolate, is best when shared“ (Claire Homewood, South Africa)
Digital Culture: A simple experiment with talking plants and sound opened new paths for digital creativity. It showed how playful tools can support learning, storytelling, and future collaborative projects (Milena Lachmanowits, France)

🎭 Artists as Builders of Social Cohesion: What moved me most in France was how naturally collaboration happens. When basic needs are met, people create together instead of competing. Seeing artists and institutions support this reminded me that social cohesion is a powerful foundation for creativity and community (Theresa Wigley, South Africa)

🌱 SEEDS 4 YOUTH: In the course of this project, all participants collected stories and memories of the experiences shared during the mobilities in Italy, South Africa, Germany and France. This week it’s all about of working together

❤️ The Art of Networking with Passion & Purpose: A gathering is never just an event — it’s a spark. At our South African multiplier event, diverse voices came together, ideas flowed, and new connections formed. It was a reminder that when people meet with purpose, community possibilities grow far beyond the room. (Claire Homewood, South Africa)

✍🏼 Writing Workshop: A Collective Mystery - A community writing workshop grew into a published mystery novel, created with local participants and European guests. Blending myths, storytelling, and intercultural exchange, it became a space to practise collaboration and celebrate the value of publicly funded cultural programs (milena Lachmanowits, France)

👧🏽 Youth Worker: Germany opened new networks and perspectives, but ultimately deepened my connection to home. Through intergenerational collaboration and meeting fellow youth workers, I finally found language and structure for the work I’ve always done. Leaving helped me see my path more clearly (Claire Homewood, South Africa)

💪 Hard Work: In Mannheim, I realized that many countries share the same challenge: cultural offers don’t reach the people they’re meant for. The issue isn’t just programming—it’s the absence of trust, connection, and a sense of safety. True mediation means taking time to build relationships in societies shaped by discrimination, fear, and long-standing barriers. 🥬 Upcycling: Instead of hiking, our “bonus team” transformed a fridge full of event leftovers into an entirely new menu. We disassembled every dish, reinvented ingredients, mixed bold flavors, and cooked together like a pop-up kitchen crew. From gnocchi to beet hummus to spicy fritters, everything was reborn.
