Food Explorers

Food Explorers We are Food Explorers - a community of food lovers in Germany’s Rhine-Neckar region and our mission is to get to know as many cuisines as possible!

Do you work in a multicultural environment with people from different cultures? Have you lived abroad previously and would like to continue being part of an international community? Are you on delegation here in the region for a couple of years? At Food Explorers, we welcome food enthusiasts with multicultural backgrounds and/or experience because we believe food has the power to bridge the cultur

al divides between people. We go on lunch and dinner “Expeditions” to check out what various restaurants around the region have to offer. In our “Cooking Sessions”, we meet up to cook together, and then enjoy the meal afterwards. Another highlight is our quarterly potluck parties – you won’t need to travel far to sample a kaleidoscope of flavours from around the world! We are always on the lookout for interesting food-related events. If you have a food-related idea you would like to share with the group, buzz me and I would gladly help with the “when, where, who, what and how”!

Persian food has a lot in common with Indian food, but owing to its position on the legendary Silk Road, it shares significant traits with Chinese, Russian, Eastern European and Arabic food as well.

Tastebuds intrigued, we went on a Lunch Expedition to Bustan, where Mr Riva and his Bustan - Persische Spezialitäten team welcomed and presented us with an amazing spread of delicious Persian fare!

From “Kebabs" to “Khoresht”, Food Explorers went on an incredible culinary journey through Iran with authentic Persian cuisine!
