Konzert am 18. September in Nürnberg:
Kommt zu unserem Make Freedom Ring Benefizkonzert in der Kulturwerkstatt Auf AEG in Nürnberg. Die Einnahmen des Abends gehen an medico international.

Concert in 2 days! 📢 🕊️ For those of you in Berlin, join us on May 14th for another Make Freedom Ring fundraising concert at Kühlhaus Berlin, with the proceeds going to Gaza Birds Singing. JAYSON NEEDS OUR SUPPORT

What’s the cost of speaking out?

In August 2024, pianist Jayson Gillham performed a solo recital presented by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. He played Witness by Conor D’Netto which is a piece dedicated to Palestinian journalists killed in Gaza and made a statement from the stage, explaining the dedication. He told the audience that in the prior 10 months, Israel had killed over 100 Palestinian journalists.

The next day, the MSO cancelled his upcoming performance.

But Jayson refused to stay silent.

Now he’s taking the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra to court in a 15-day trial involving around 20 witnesses called by the orchestra.

Legal fights like this cost a huge amount of money and Jayson needs your support.

This isn’t about one cancelled concert. This is about whether artists can speak about human rights without being punished. Killing journalists is a war crime under international law. Jayson’s case is about whether artists even have the right to say that out loud.

Next Make Freedom Ring concert is in Hamburg at Kampnagel on 8th May. Proceeds go to medico international Gaza/West Bank emergency fund. Besides the wonderful music, we have in Alena Jabarine and Riad Othman two great speakers.
