Room of One's Own // Morana Mazuran
Dear resource-Community,
Friends & Colleagues,
Join us on January 13th for a special evening as we are thrilled to host Morana Mažuran.
Experience an engaging and discursive evening with Morana, a Berlin-based architect whose work delves into the intersection of architecture, art, and theatrical space. Inspired by Virginia Woolf's essay "A Room of One's Own," Morana explores the history of space and its contemporary significance. Which spaces are occupied by whom, and what privileges do they hold?
*The performance, initially presented during the International Women's Day event at Fortuna Studio Neukölln, has its second stop with us. The goal is to explore and discover more spaces.
We see this performance as a fitting addition to the themes of the women*'s network “SpaceWomen*”, delving into the ever-relevant topics of space, visibility, privileges, and resources.
In collective engagement with her work, Morana will offer a possibility to open a new perspective to social and feminist issues by observing it through architectural and spatial dimension - translation of social constellations in material space - we put a claim on our space together this evening!
Morana Mažuran, born in Zagreb in 1988, is an architect based in Berlin. She earned her master’s degree in architecture from the Faculty of Architecture at Graz University. Morana works at Ortner & Ortner Baukunst and collaborates with Berlin-based theatre artists. Her focus on the interrelation between ideal vision and the image of current reality reflects her dedication to questioning the politics of space and cohabitation.
Following the thought-provoking session, enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with a chill vibe & drinks.
