Nepal's omnipresent creativity and esteem fascinates and inspires. Not only a walk through the streets of Kathmandu will show you the meaning of devotion with its richness of affectionate, handmade details. Also the the teachers of the school who are willing to face the challenge of teaching classes with 50-75 children, 6 days a week deserve our admiration. Nepal fasziniert, inspiriert und berührt
durch seine allgenwärtige Kreativität und Wertschätzung. Nicht nur der Gang durch die Straßen Kathmandus zeigt anhand der vielen liebevollen, handgearbeiteten Details was Hingabe bedeutet, sondern auch die Lehrer der Tilingatar Higher Secondary School, welche sich 6 Tage die Woche der Aufgabe stellen Klassen von 50-75 Schüler zu unterrichten. Despite their commitment, the immense class size and the teaching in English that happens mostly without professional language skills of the teachers still hinder the efficiency. But the appreciative openness of the staff has encouraged us to start this project. Also the students who show an unbelievable interest and effort to grasp new learning contents inspire with their receptiveness to look out for solutions. Trotz des großen Engagements werden die Lernbedingungen an der Schule aufgrund der enormen Klassengrößen und durch die Tatsache, dass in Englisch unterrichtet wird, obwohl die Lehrer selbst nie Englischunterricht hatten, sehr gehindert. Dennoch zeigen die Schüler ein unglaubliches Interesse und Bemühungen neue Lerninhalte zu erfassen. Dank Ihrer aufgeschlossenen Art wird man inspiriert, Lösungen zu suchen und zu finden. Auch die wertschätzende Offenheit der Lehrer haben uns ermutigt dieses Projekt zu starten. From the end of August until the end of September 2013 we will go to Nepal to learn from each other, to be carried away from the warmth of the people and beauty of nature to help others and ourselves. True to the motto "the meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away!"* we want to help each other to create a more happy and conscious life with our individual strengths and knowledge. Also there will be the possibility to learn Transcendental Meditation, which has been introduced to the entire school. Von Ende August bis Ende September 2013 gehen wir erstmals nach Nepal um voneinander zu lernen, uns von der Herzlichkeit der Menschen und Schönheit der Natur mitreißen zu lassen und anderen und somit auch uns selbst zu helfen. Getreu dem Motto "The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away!" - share yours to grow, wollen wir mit unseren ganz persönlichen Stärken und Kenntnissen uns und anderen dabei helfen ein glücklicheres, bewussteres Leben zu führen. Dies wird unterstützt durch die Möglichkeit dort Transzendentale Meditation zu erlernen, in welche die gesamte Schule bereits eingeführt wurde. A democratic school system is in the works, where every mind counts and is taken seriously. It shall provide a practical understanding of democracy, which the school intends to do since its foundation in 1962. Furthermore, we intend to introduce a rotating system, which shall consist of internships, project-phases and tuition-phases. This will help to minimize class sizes and allows hands-on learning experiences. Geplant ist es eine demokratische Schule zu schaffen in der jede Meinung zählt und ernst genommen wird, um ein praktisches Verständnis von Demokratie zu vermitteln. Des weiteren soll ein Rotationsprinzip eingeführt werden, welches zu gleichen Teilen aus Praktika-Phasen, Projekt-Phasen und Unterrichtsphasen bestehen soll.
