we are happy to invite you to our Get-to-Know Event. Ilmenau Dialogue Center is a project within .campus ISWI e.V. (Inc. Society) that sees dialogue as a tool of mutual understanding, conflict transformation, and peacebuilding.

When: Tuesday, 14.11 at 7 p.m.
Where: EAZ room 1220 (building with the magnifying glass 🔍)

If you are interested in learning more about the method and our Dialogue Center, joining the community of like-minded people, or simply communicating thoughtfully, come and meet us over a cup of tea and cookies. During the event, we will present our work, get to know each other, and try out some dialogical activities.

Dear community,

we are happy to invite you to our Get-to-Know Event. Ilmenau Dialogue Center is a project within ISWI e.V. (Inc. Society) that sees dialogue as a tool of mutual understanding, conflict transformation, and peacebuilding. We learned the methodology from the Nansen Fredssenter in Norway, which has a long history of facilitating and training dialogues worldwide.

Dialogue teaches us to listen, and ask good questions. It allows us to look at the situation from the perspectives of other people while not giving up our own identity and beliefs.

If you are interested in learning more about the method and our Dialogue Center, joining the community of like-minded people, or simply communicating thoughtfully, come and meet us over a cup of tea and cookies. During the event, we will present our work, get to know each other, and try out some dialogical activities.

As part of Germany's largest international student conference, (ISWI 2023), the IDC team invites you to participate in dialogue sessions and training on the topic of "knowledge". The program will take place from May 28 to June 1 in Ilmenau.

What is expected?

You will get to:

✍Learn more about the dialogue methodology.

👩‍🎓👨‍🎓Participate in dialogue training.

🤝Experience actual dialogue sessions facilitated by our team members.

🌎Connect with other students from across the world.

Some photo highlights from the recent training 'Basics of Dialogue Methodology'. It was 2 days of learning, sharing and reflecting. We practiced listening and asking questions skills, and learned about the roles of values, key elements of dialogue and deep conversation.

The 'Basics of Dialogue Methodology' training will help you to understand the elements and potentials of dialogue.

The training session will be held from 11th March to 12th March 2023, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. in Ilmenau (location to be shared upon registration).
This training is conducted by trainers certified by the Nansen Center of Peace and Dialogue, Norway.

All content will be delivered and discussed primarily in English.

Dear applicants,

The long waiting period of Dialogue at ISWI 2023 selection is now over. We are happy to announce that all applicants should have received by now an email with the result for their application. Please, check your mailbox.

We received a huge number of applications with inspiring essays, however, due to our limited capacities, not everyone could be selected, if it’s your case, don’t be upset, we are looking forward to your participation in the next edition. For all the selected participants: congratulations! We are looking forward to see you in Ilmenau for our Dialogue at ISWI 2023!

Remember that .e.v made their decisions separately and if you weren't selected for the Dialogue Program, check if you still got invited for the main part of conference.

Dear Dialogue Program at ISWI 2023 Applicants,

Thank you for your interest. We are thrilled to have received so many applications.

Given the large number of applications to be reviewed, we have postponed the announcement of results.
We expect to complete the selection process tentatively until the end of the January 2023.

Good news for all interested in dialogue. It is time to apply for the Dialogue Program at International Student Week in Ilmenau, ISWI 2023 (by ISWI e.V. (Inc. Society)) if you are a student over 18 years old. Applications are open until 15.12.2022 online: 2023.iswi.org/dialogue

You may already know that ISWI is looking for participants, who will stay in Ilmenau, Germany from the 2nd till the 11th of June 2023. We, Ilmenau Dialogue Center, invite you to start your summer adventure earlier and join us already on the 28th of May 2023!

Become one of 20 dialogue participants, which will learn about dialogue methodology, and participate in the training and dialogue sessions facilitated by our team members.

Accommodation, food, insurance, and all the needed for the program materials will be provided. Selected participants will be expected to cover their visa (if needed) and travel costs themselves.
