er the years, the organization has expanded its services, always with the aim of preventing and relieving suffering. The American Red Cross is where people mobilize to help their neighbors—across the street, across the country, and across the world—in emergencies. Each year, in communities large and small, victims of some 70,000 disasters turn to neighbors familiar and new—the more than half a million volunteers and 35,000 employees of the Red Cross. Through nearly 700 locally supported chapters, more than 15 million people gain the skills they need to prepare for and respond to emergencies in their homes, communities and world. Some four million people give blood—the gift of life—through the Red Cross, making it the largest supplier of blood and blood products in the United States. And the Red Cross helps thousands of U.S. service members separated from their families by military duty stay connected. Interested in becoming an American Red Cross Training Services Instructor? We will be hosting an instructor course on September 27 from 0900-1700. You'll learn all the skills necessary to teach our First Aid classes.
*You must have a valid First Aid/CPR certification from the Red Cross in order to take the class*
The class is only open to 6 participants! Sign ups will close Sept 10th! Please email us with any questions.

A special visit to the USO with Riley and Georgia! 🐶✨ The soldiers got creative with some AVP dog coloring pages—a big thank you to everyone who made one!—while our two stars paused for a photoshoot and made sure everyone stayed within the lines 📸🎨 Bringing smiles to our service members, and getting plenty of love in return, made it a perfect day ❤️

A wonderful group gathered yesterday for our 3rd International Potluck at the USO! 🌍

Sunshine’s 4th birthday last Friday was an absolute blast! 🐾🎂

Everyone had such a wonderful time celebrating our favorite pup. Sunshine got the usual doggy cake, plus we added a doggy ice cube and a piñata to the mix this time! 🧊🪅 Needless to say, the pups were spoiled rotten.

Thank you so much to everyone who came out to make Sunshine’s day so special! ❤️✨
