🌍❤️ Was für ein wunderschöner Kochabend!

Gemeinsam haben wir indische Pakora, irakisches Biryani, ein finnisches Kartoffelgericht und eine albanische Spezialität mit Leber und Ricotta zubereitet. Doch wie so oft war das Essen nur ein Teil des Ganzen.

Menschen aus dem Irak, Syrien, der Ukraine, Venezuela, Kolumbien, Nicaragua, Ungarn, Deutschland und weiteren Ländern kamen zusammen, um zu kochen, zu lachen und Zeit miteinander zu verbringen. Bei unserer Vorstellungsrunde entdeckten wir Spaziergänger, Schlafmützen, Wasserliebhaber und Hüpfkünstler aller Art. So bunt und vielfältig wie die Welt selbst.

An diesem Abend wurde wieder spürbar, wie einfach Gemeinschaft sein kann: miteinander statt nebeneinander, neugierig, respektvoll und voller Freude.

Danke an alle, die dabei waren und diesen Abend mit Leben, Geschichten und Herzlichkeit gefüllt haben. Wir freuen uns schon auf das nächste Mal! 🍲✨
🌍🍲 Another wonderful international cooking evening is behind us!
This time, our kitchen turned into a little world tour. Together we prepared Indian pakoras, a delicious Iraqi biryani, a Finnish potato dish (whose name we unfortunately forgot 😄), and an Albanian dish with liver and ricotta that also deserves to be remembered by name!
But as always, the food was only part of the story.
We were joined by amazing guests from Iraq, Syria, Ukraine, Venezuela, Colombia, Nicaragua, Hungary, Germany, and probably a few more countries that evening. Different languages, different backgrounds, different stories, all gathered around the same tables, chopping, stirring, tasting, laughing, and learning from one another.
Our introduction round was especially fun. Everyone got to reveal their inner animal, and we discovered sleepyheads, walkers, jumpers, creatures that love salt water, and all kinds of unexpected personalities. It was colorful, lively, and wonderfully diverse, just like our world.
What made the evening special was not only the food, but the atmosphere: people cooking together peacefully, helping each other, sharing stories, and creating something together. No competition, just fair play, curiosity, and friendship.
Thank you to everyone who joined, contributed, cooked, laughed, and made this evening such a harmonious and memorable experience. We are already looking forward to the next one! ❤️🌎🍽️

47 wonderful humans from about a dozen nations gathered at our last cooking evening, turning the kitchen into a small, fragrant United Nations of sizzling pans and happy chatter 🌍🍲

But today, we want to give a special round of applause (and maybe an extra portion of dessert) to one of our two newest team members: Azza from Syria. She brings not only helping hands, but also a truly radiant smile that could probably season a soup all by itself ✨

Even more impressive: she travels by train just to support us. That is dedication powered by kindness… and possibly a love for good food 🚆💛

Thank you, Azza, for enriching our team and reminding us that the best recipes always include a pinch of courage and a generous scoop of community.
