The first ever district wise inter-religious coordination committee promoting conversations on the merits of the Himalaya Declaration commenced on Friday (09) in Kurunegala.

The first of the five planned workshops will focus on training the proposed 150 interfaith clergy and civil society members, as co-ordinators who will be the key resource persons tasked with facilitating the planned 25 districts conversations, in the coming months.

'එක ශ්‍රී ලංකාවක කතිකාව' තේමාව යටතේ යාපනය සිවිල් සංවිධානයේ සභාපති අරුන් සිද්ධාර්ත් මහතා හා කොළඹ තරුණ බෞද්ධ සංගමය අතර සාකච්ඡාවක් කොළඹ තරුණ බෞද්ධ සංගමයේ මාණ්ඩලික දේශන ශාලාවේදී අද පෙරවරුවේ පවත් වන ලදී. මෙහිදී යාපනය සිවිල් සමාජයේ සභාපති අරුන් සිද්ධාර්ත් මහතා 'හිමාලය ප්‍රකාශනය' සම්බන්ධයෙන් ඔවුන්ගේ අදහස් ඉදිරිපත් කරන ලදී.

A group of monks representing the organization ‘Sangha for a Better Sri Lanka’ and a delegation representing the Global Tamil Forum met the Speaker Hon. Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena at Parliament yesterday (Dec. 12).
