Students at over 80 universities are campaigning for 100% plant-based catering to tackle the climate crisis! Join us 👇

‼️Breaking‼️ Students’ Union catering facilities at the University of Southampton have implemented plant-based by default menus. This comes after a petition for this shift obtained 950+ signatures from students in just 7 days earlier this year, and support from over 40 academics on campus. The Student Council at the University of Southampton’s Student Union then voted by an overwhelming majority of 12-3 for their catering facilities to adopt plant-based by default, and the new menus are now available!

Students at are continuing to campaign for the entire university to go 100% plant-based. They join a wave of students in our movement PLANT-BASED UNIVERSITIES, who are taking no-nonsense steps to reduce their contribution to the climate crisis by switching to plant-based catering, and creating institutional change through their universities. The Student Parliament at the University of Education Heidelberg has called on the university to adopt fully plant-based catering at the university canteens! To address both the climate crisis and the loss of biodiversity across the world. Students in Heidelberg and universities all across Europe are leading the shift towards plant-based catering. They believe university canteens have an institutional responsibility to not continue investing in animal agriculture industries which have such a damaging effect on our planet, especially when such sustainable, healthy and delicious alternatives are available!
