Something happened in the middle of Rathausmarkt in Hamburg. 🤗

People who had never met sat down together, asked each other questions that actually meant something, and listened. And then they did it again, with someone new.

At (un)common connections, part of , three community leaders from our Human Connector Incubator - Anissa, Iveta Gogava, NATASCHA // [NA.CHO] , shared how they bring people together every day, especially those whose voices are often left out.

And when Natalia Kinga closed in a circle and asked: what human characteristic describes your experience tonight?

Learning. Sharing. Connection. Empathy. Vulnerability. Listening. Feeling deeply. 🥰

That's what makes us human. And honestly? We needed that reminder too. 🩵

Something is happening on July 1st at Rathausmarkt. ✨

It's called (un)common connections and it's part of Hamburg Sustainability Week.

The theme this time: nurturing what makes us human.

Come meet people you wouldn't normally meet. Stay for the conversations. Leave feeling a little less alone.

Free and open to all. 18:00–20:00.

The people closest to a problem are usually the best ones to solve it.

Human Connector Incubator exists to make sure they can.

5 leaders. 8 months. One city.

It's not a course, not a bunch of workshops. HCI is a journey, side by side, through the messy middle of building something that matters.

These five came as strangers on a call. Now they're diving into the first of three program phases: RESEARCH. And they're doing it the Kollektiv way, by actually talking to people. 😉

So, if you haven't yet, meet them properly.
Anissa Rached supports mothers navigating isolation far from home.
connects migrants to professional and civic life in Hamburg.
builds the community for Spanish-speaking women in Germany she wished had existed when she arrived. naomi puts Black role models into children's books. cho breaks the silence around sexual harassment in workplaces.

Together in Hamburg, they share networks, resources, and each other.
Because the best things get built when you don't have to figure it out alone.

We asked them to bring as many blue things as they could find.

Some came with two. Some with ten.

Because sometimes we have more. Sometimes less.

And yet, when we put it all together, we can share. The knowledge, the skills, the energy.

And when one person needs a lift, the others have something to give.

Last week, five strangers got on a Human Connector Incubator call facilitated by Natalia Kinga.

By the end, they knew each other's stories, why they do what they do, and how many blue things each of them owns.

And somewhere in between, we all learned that unicorn octopuses exist. 🐙

What connects them: they all build in Hamburg. And every one of them works on the topic they know from the inside.

Last Thursday in Hamburg was one of those nights. ✨

The kind where you look around the room and think: Could we actually work like this? With a sense of community, collaboration, where it's safe to talk about what's truly on our minds and in our hearts? ♥️
