Exactly one year ago, due to the Russian attack on Ukraine the war returned to Europe.
Exactly one year ago, as an association, we called for peace to be sought at the negotiating table and not on the battlefield with weapons.

Today in particular we remember all those who lost their lives in this war, fled their country and whose families were torn apart by this terrible war. We think of our former participants and members who recently spoke with us at youth forums about the common European house 2035 and do not know today what future brings them tomorrow.

Nothing can justify this terrible war. We keep in mind the people stepping forward against these actions, deciding not to contribute to this and looking for paths to peace.

Even if you feel powerless as an individual, there are many opportunities to help at least a little. We encourage you to support your local communities or charity organisations such as Caritas International who do valuable work to help those who suffer most under the war.

Finally, we would like to thank each of you who contribute in their way to a help refugees from the East, aiming for sustainable peace.

+++Important news+++

The German-Russian Youth Initiative DRJUG e.V. will elect its new board on April 16, 2023.

We are currently looking for young people who are willing to contribute to our association´s work: Together with more than 100 members and an international network we invite you to work on a better future.

We believe that especially in times of the Russian war against Ukraine and the increasing destruction of transnational connections, youth has the ability to make a difference.

Please send us a DM if you are interested in running for a position, or simply if you would like to know more about us.

We are happy to hear from you!
