EDGET - Live, Love & Learn

LIVE, LOVE & LEARN is a charity organisation for children and youth, in particular girls, mainly operating in Ethiopia (but also in Uganda), based in Hamburg / Germany. In the Amharic language (spoken in Ethiopia) “Edget Baandnet” means something like "growing together". As a non-profit organization we provide a transitional home for about 8 children (07/2022) - a place to grow together. Thus, we

are happy to call ourselves "transitional home" and no longer "orphanage". Additionally to a home, we provide 175 children / youth (mainly girls) with scholarships until graduation (from 2022 onwards). Other projects in the past: WASH-Programs, Corona-Prevention projects, school constrution for more than 5.000 students, construction of admin buildings for schools. Focus on cost effectiveness. Due to the actual situation in Ethiopia we expand to other African countries. New focus is Malawi (Chipunga north of Lilongwe - up to now with no impressing results!) & Eswatini (former Swaziland), permaculture project in Malkerns started in 2022.
