It’s been a few days since Europe’s BIGGEST Cleanup 2026 – and we’re still thinking about this incredible day in St. Peter-Ording! 🌊💙

Volunteers came together to take action for a cleaner coastline, and we ended the day on a high note with a special live performance by ! 🎤

Europes BIGGEST Cleanup 2026

🌍 13 countries. 17 Cleaning Hubs. One shared mission.

This was Europe’s BIGGEST Cleanup 2026. From beaches to riverbanks, volunteers came together to remove litter and show what’s possible when communities act together. 🌊💙

To every volunteer, Cleaning Hub, ambassador and local partner: thank you for making this happen. And a special thank you to Müller for supporting this project.
The cleanup may be over, but our work continues. See you at the next one! 🙌

Eine NGO und Deutschlands größter Systemgastronom. 🍔🌊

Auf den ersten Blick vielleicht ein Widerspruch. Für uns die logische Konsequenz – denn Veränderung entsteht nicht nur in der Nische, sondern dort, wo täglich Millionen Menschen unterwegs sind.

Ab sofort sind wir offizieller Anti-Littering-Partner von McDonald’s Deutschland! 🎉

Gemeinsam bringen wir unsere Mobile CleanUp Unit rund um McDonald’s Restaurants zum Einsatz, analysieren gesammelte Abfälle und entwickeln Schulungen, Mitmachaktionen und konkrete Lösungen gegen Littering.
Den Auftakt machte Köln-Kalk: Am vergangenen Samstag sammelten knapp 30 Freiwillige und McDonald’s-Mitarbeitende mehr als 20 kg Abfall rund um das Restaurant an der Istanbulstraße. 💪♻️

Seit 2023 arbeiten wir bereits mit McDonald’s Deutschland zusammen. Jetzt gehen wir offiziell den nächsten Schritt – raus aus der Filterblase und rein in den Alltag.

Hungary showed up and went all in. 🇭🇺💪🌊
At Árasztó Part in Budapest, 31 volunteers took on a cleanup that was anything but easy. With low water levels exposing hidden waste, the team climbed, lifted, searched the riverbank and even went underwater to recover trash from the Danube. 🤿

The result? 750 kg of waste removed, 27 bags filled, 50 plastic bottles collected — plus rusted metal, cables and even an excavator bucket pulled from the river. 😮

A huge thank you to everyone who brought the energy and made this impact possible. This is what teamwork looks like. 💙

🌊 Big energy, bigger impact at Coco Beach! 💪♻️

On 27 July, amazing volunteers came together in Tanzania to give the sandy and rocky shoreline of Coco Beach a much-needed cleanup. In just one action, the team filled 49 bags and removed an incredible 406 kg of waste, including 1,044 plastic bottles. Even an engine part was found along the way! 😲

A huge thank you to Casto and every volunteer who showed up, got their hands dirty and helped stop waste before it could reach the ocean. Every bottle collected and every bag filled makes a real difference. 💙

One hour. 25+ volunteers. More than 45 kg of trash collected. 🤯🌊

On 19 July, our incredible volunteers came together in Lindau to clean up the parks surrounding Lake Constance, the paths along the water and the litter that had already reached the shoreline.

A large share of the waste found in Lake Constance originally comes from litter carelessly left on land. That is exactly why clean-ups like this matter: every bottle, cigarette butt and piece of plastic removed from the ground is one less item that can enter the lake.
The impact created in just one hour was absolutely incredible. 💙

A huge thank you to every single volunteer who showed up, got involved and made this clean-up possible. Together, you proved how much can be achieved when a community takes action.

Plastic pollution continues to affect coastlines and communities across Tanzania and Kenya — but so does the determination to create change. 🌊

These moments are a reminder that clean-ups are about more than removing waste. They bring people together, raise awareness and show what is possible when communities take responsibility for their environment.

A big thank you to all the volunteers who continue to give their time and energy to protect beaches and waterways across East Africa.
