The 3rd European Yatra – Together Towards Future with Live To Love!
In less than 90 days, the long-awaited Pad Yatra through Norway begins—a pilgrimage of compassion and solidarity for peace!
This pilgrimage, too, is about inner and outer transformation—driven by the heartfelt desire to bring about meaningful change for the well-being of present and future generations.
Our preparations are in full swing, and we can all look forward to a very special event amidst Norway’s indescribably beautiful natural landscape. The Gyalwang Drukpa and his entourage will lead this pilgrimage, and we have the privilege of embarking on this special journey together with him.
It is with great joy and deep gratitude that we also welcome Gyalwa Dokhampa and his entourage, whose presence further enriches this journey. Gyalwa Dokhampa, also known as Khamtrul Rinpoche Jigme Pema Nyinjadh, was recognized by the Dalai Lama, the Gyalwang Drukpa, and the First Thuksey Rinpoche as the reincarnation of the Eighth Gyalwa Dokhampa. Gyalwa Dokhampa was enthroned at a young age and began studying Buddhism at five. He was educated at Druk Sangag Choeling Monastery in India under the guidance of the Gyalwang Drukpa and other esteemed teachers. He later completed a nine-year master’s program at Tango Monastic University in Bhutan.
Today, Gyalwa Dokhampa is an internationally renowned Buddhist teacher, author, and speaker known for illuminating traditional teachings from a fresh, vibrant perspective. He emphasizes that Buddhism is not a religion but a way of life that leads to happiness. He is the author of the book “Restful Mind – A New Way of Thinking, A New Way of Life” and hosts the podcast “The Restful Mind.” Since 2000, he has been teaching in Asia, Europe, Australia, and the Americas, and through his teachings and pilgrimage walks—for example, in Asia, South America, and Australia—he promotes environmental awareness, mindfulness, and social responsibility.
