Almost 12 years after the 2014 Yazidi genocide there is STILL NO JUSTICE.

At UHfR we are working in solidarity with displaced Yazidis: providing material support, and advocating for justice and protection.

URGENCY - As conditions deteriorate across the region, genocide survivors remain trapped: facing ongoing insecurity, exploitation, and discrimination, whilst pathways for protection and safety are blocked by a failing humanitarian system.

Food insecurity drives millions to move in search of stability.

The reality is:
📊 295 million people in acute hunger (2024)
📊 673 million experienced hunger globally
📊 53 countries in food crisis

On top of that, food continues to be used as a weapon - with blockades cutting off access to aid and turning hunger into a human-made crisis.

On World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, we remember the Yazidi women and girls who were abducted, sold, and enslaved during the 2014 genocide.

Nearly 11 years on, over 3,000 are still missing.

Thousands more—though they escaped—remain in displacement and face ongoing sexual and gender-based violence.
