We offer our students free courses with a unique career program in Hamburg!

A new ReDI semester, a whole new energy. F26 is here! 🌟🚀

We kicked off the new semester with so much energy, and what a start it’s been! Our Fall 2026 Community Kick-Off took place at Jakala Hamburg, and the spirit of the ReDI Hamburg community was stronger than ever. 🤝

This evening was about so much more than introductions. From icebreakers to shared stories, we focused on what really matters: building community. Watching students, teachers, and volunteers connect so openly reminded us that while people come for the tech, they stay for the people. 🙌

A special highlight: Mia Oumaima Louafi and Reha Altay Bozgül shared their ReDI journeys with the new cohort. They didn’t just inspire the room — they shared real, honest perspectives from their own experience that gave our new students confidence and a genuine sense of trust in the ReDI community. ❤️

None of it comes together on its own. A heartfelt thank you to our volunteers Sven-Ole Thormählen, Bahareh Fatemi , and Hua Guo , whose quiet work behind the scenes is exactly what made the event feel effortless.
The stage is set. F26, let’s make it one to remember. 💻✨

✨ Great teaching starts with learning, too!

As we kicked off the Fall 2026 semester at ReDI, our volunteer teachers came together to learn, exchange experiences, and prepare for the classroom. 🚀

This semester’s Teacher Training focused on two key topics:

🌍 Cultural Differences in the Classroom
Belén Clemente explored how different backgrounds can shape communication, participation, expectations, and learning — and shared practical strategies for creating inclusive learning environments.

🤖 AI – Train the Trainer: Make AI Your Teaching Ally
Christina Pardali showed how AI can support teaching, enhance learning experiences, and be used thoughtfully and responsibly in the classroom.

These sessions were also a valuable opportunity for our volunteers to learn from one another and share their diverse professional, cultural, and teaching experiences. 💡

A huge thank you to Belén and Christina for sharing their expertise pro bono, and to our Program and Volunteer Management teams for making these trainings possible. ❤️

Now it’s time to bring these learnings into our Fall 2026 classrooms! 🚀

Ein riesiger Erfolg bei der Eröffnungsveranstaltung von LIFE HAMBURG – Der Campus fürs Leben : Über 28 neugierige Senior*innen haben bei unserem neuen Workshop-Format der ReDI School Hamburg mitgemacht! 💡✨
Unter dem Motto „Digitale Alltagshelfer” haben wir Berührungsängste abgebaut und KI direkt an Laptops und Smartphones ausprobiert: 🍲 Rezeptideen aus Kühlschrank-Resten finden ✉️ Briefe höflich und schnell formulieren 🗺️ Barrierefreie Tagesausflüge planen
🙌 Ein großes Dankeschön an unsere fantastischen ReDI-Supporter*innen Hua, Inga, Marina, Mia, Reda und Yulia, die an den Tischen mit viel Geduld geholfen haben!
🎉 Herzlichen Glückwunsch an das gesamte Team von LIFE Hamburg zur gelungenen Campuseröffnung! Wir freuen uns riesig auf die zukünftige Mitwirkung und weitere gemeinsame Workshops. 🤝

🤖 Machine Learning & AI: This course helps you build a strong foundation, covering supervised learning methods like regression and classification, as well as unsupervised techniques such as clustering and dimensionality reduction.

👥Data Circle: In this course, you work on one project for a full semester with the support of a team of colleagues and professional guides in a Scrum/Agile environment — completing complex projects through collaboration.
