nd direct. If you want to sponsor such a child in Afghanistan, please note the following points:
Our target group
We are specifically looking for children in Afghanistan who have to work on the streets (eg-seller, shoepolisher, beggars, bag-sellers, chewing gum sellers, etc.) and children who are needy and socially very weak. After we have seen/interviewed such a child on the street, we visit them also at home, talk to their parents, check their financial and social needs, and if necessary, we refer them to a sponsor in Norway.
The help is direct
You transfer help/donation/money directly to the child/parents. This means that you will receive all the contact information from us (ie the child's address, telephone number, birth certificate, ID of the parents), in this way you send your donation "directly" to the names of the parents of your sponsored child. This gives you the opportunity to talk or to call your sponsored child and parents in person whenever you want.
Help is regular
This means that you support your sponsored child monthly and in the long term. As long as it is ideally finished in school and suitable for the job market. Even if the child comes to university, your sponsorship should continue.
Donation amount:
We recommend at least 50€ to 60€ per month. Cause: A child in Afghanistan earns an average of 32€ to 45€ a month through his own work. And so that a child can really be freed from work burden and can go to school regularly and stress-free, € 50 to € 60 is very basic. Of course you can always help with more, and the whole family with children benefits from it. (Often these children have a large family; many siblings).
Personal responsibility:
You transfer the donation independently and always on the 1st of the month directly to the parents of the child. For this you call the parents of your sponsored child once a month, give them the code from Western Union, Moneygram or Awala on the phone so that their parents can collect your donation from these banks in person and independently with his/her ID ( which we send you).
School contract:
Both our team in Afghanistan and you as a sponsor with Parents of the Child sign a school contract. The contents of this contract are:
Such a child will only be sponsored if the child no longer goes out to the streets in order to work and instead "verifiably" registers at a school. The donation is intended for the child and can only be used by the parents for their own purposes (school fees, school uniform, school materials, etc.). The child receives financial support until he goes to school, even if he goes to university, ideally the sponsorship should continue. We focus on the education of children ...
Costs
We do this work on a voluntary basis, for free and so there are no fees for you. Our goal is your donation reachs the needy child and their family directly and 1: 1 (ie undivided and 100%). We have great benefit, personally and spiritually, when a child becomes happy again, restores childhood, no longer has to go to work and can enjoy an education that will later benefit the child and our motherland. For us, this is simply the highest form of joy. We also pay for our work and expense costs ourselves.
