Swedish youth even named Jesus “influencer of the year” for 2025.
Media and social channels report that young people symbolically dubbed Jesus an top influencer amid rising digital content about faith.
Something is happening in Sweden for the past three years as young people, especially young men, come to church.
"We still see a trend around Jesus and the Christian faith in the younger generation. Confirmation classes continue to attract a lot of young people, and several events for youth gather greater numbers than in previous years," Olof Edsinger (Gen Sec of the Evangelical Alliance) said.
We also hear about a new translation of the Bible/NT being published. After 500 years, a new edition has been launched last week.
„"A few days ago a new translation of the New Testament was published in Swedish, and while there is great interest in this from many generations, many youth seem to be buying their first Bible in relation to this," he said. "Already last year — before the new translation — we saw a significant increase in young people buying Bibles."“
Being here in Sweden and hearing more about it is very encouraging.
