ESN Halle is a non-profit students association which assists international students in Halle & encourages local students to go abroad.

ESN Halle (Saale) is an non-profit association founded by former ERASMUS students. We assist international students in Halle and help them to settle in Halle, answer their questions and try to make their time in Halle as pleasant as possible. Additionally, we inform students in Halle about their possibilities to go abroad. We want to promote international learning mobility by encouraging students

in Halle to take the first step towards a more mobile future. Our origins lie in a student initiative called 'Erasmus Life Halle', which was established in 2010. In November 2014 we became a member of the International Erasmus Student Network (ESN) and ESN Germany. The Erasmus Student Network is Europe's largest student organization with sections distributed all over Europe. ESN is a non-profit organization operating on the local, national and international level. Subsequently we changed our name from 'Erasmus Life Halle' to ESN Halle (Saale). The ERASMUS+-time can be one of the best experiences in life - we want to help you in making this time in Halle memorable. We offer a lot of trips, parties, weekend trips and cultural events in which international students get to know each other and at the same time be able to discover a little more about Germany.

Join us for our second picnic of the semester and enjoy a laid-back evening filled with good conversations, new connections, and hopefully plenty of sunshine. ☀️Whether you joined our first picnic or are coming for the first time, everyone is welcome!
Bring a blanket, some snacks, drinks, or anything you’d like to share. 🧺Together, we’ll create a cosy international picnic where students from all over the world can meet, relax, and enjoy the summer atmosphere.😎

Dear international students,
do you need a break from lectures, deadlines, and university stress? Then join us for an exciting afternoon of bouldering at the Boulderkombinat Halle! 💪
Whether you’ve never climbed before or already love the sport, this event is for
everyone. With routes for all difficulty levels, you can challenge yourself, try something new, and spend an active evening together with fellow international
students. ✨Expect lots of movement, laughter, teamwork, and good vibes both on and off the wall.
Bouldering is not only about climbing — it’s about encouraging each other, stepping out of your comfort zone, and having fun together in a relaxed atmosphere. 🫂

🚨Please bring your student ID, ESNcard, water, and comfortable sports clothes (no jeans please).

Dear international students,
We are excited to invite you to a very special cultural evening at the Gewandhaus
zu Leipzig! Together, we will attend the “Taiwan Panorama – Taipei Chinese
Orchestra European Tour 2026”, an extraordinary orchestral concert bringing the sounds of Taiwan to Europe through traditional and modern Chinese orchestral
music.🎼🪉🎻
The concert features the renowned Taipei Chinese Orchestra, together with
talented soloists and conductor Li-Pin Cheng, performing a unique program filled
with powerful melodies, traditional instruments such as the Dizi and Suona, and musical pieces inspired by Taiwanese culture and history.

✨ And the best part:
We managed to secure a limited number of FREE tickets exclusively for the
ESN student community!😱
Since the number of tickets is limited, participation will be on a first come, first
serve basis — so make sure to register quickly if you would like to join us for this
unique musical experience.✨

summer is here and the time to enjoy the sun has come.☀️ What is a better way to
spend a summer day by having a BBQ with us?
As ESN Halle we invite you all to our Grill & Chill - Evening in the backyard of our
ESN Office. We will provide the grill and delicious side dishes free of charge. 🥗You only need to bring whatever you would like put on the grill and drinks of your
choice.😋

Please bring your own plate and cutlery as well!🍽️

🚨Since we host our event outside you should be aware that we may have to
reschedule the event because of the weather.

Ready for one of the most fun and chaotic evenings of the semester? Then grab your partner and join us for the ESN Halle Peer Pong Tournament! ✨
Expect an evening full of competition, laughter, teamwork, and lots of unforgettable moments at the ESN Office. Whether you’re a peer pong champion or just here for the vibes, this tournament is the perfect chance to meet new people, spend time with friends, and show
off your throwing skills.🫶
Each team consists of 2 players, so find your teammate and come up with a creative team name! 🫂
If you don’t have a partner yet — no worries at all. You can still register individually and find your teammate directly at the event. 🤗

🚨To participate, simply send us an email with your team name and the names of the team members at [email protected].
Drinks will of course be provided for all players, feel free to carry more for yourself and if you would like snacks or food, feel free to bring something with you.🍿🥤

You can participate in teams of up to 3 players, and depending on the number of
teams, the tournament will feature group stages, knockout rounds, semi-finals, and
a grand final. 🏆Every match will bring exciting rallies, dramatic saves, and lots of
cheering from the sidelines.🎉
Whether you’re aiming for the championship title or simply want to enjoy a fun and active day with fellow students, this tournament is the perfect mix of competition, sunshine, and international community spirit. 🫂Expect music, energy, laughter, and plenty of unforgettable moments on the sand.

Stammtisch is the perfect place for it.🫶
And for everyone feeling a little competitive, we’ve reserved two billiard tables again, so get ready for some friendly pool matches throughout the evening. 🎱

Dear international students,
come join us on a journey through the nature and history of Halle. 🌿 The Dölauer Heide is the city’s largest local recreation area and forest, holding quite a few stories that date back thousands of years. And a number of legends and myths weave their way through the dense
leaves. 🍃
The Dölauer Heide is very well maintained, offering pleasant walking paths and easy terrain. 🥾🗺 Over a 5-kilometre route, we will explore a wide variety of locations within the forest. 🧭 The walk is very easy, requires no special equipment, and can be done in everyday shoes.👟

‼️It is highly recommended that you wear long trousers and sleeves, as ticks are common in the woods. Also, don’t forget to bring some water, a few snacks, and a good mood!
