Everyone knows that air high up is very cold, but does mean that circuits will freeze to death, or will beneficiate of an improved cooled breeze to take the heat from the heat sinks? Unfortunately not always. If the heatsink was designed to keep a decent temperature at sea level at altitude above 20km high it will be insufficient since convection cooling will decrease with the air density, and the circuit in fact will overheat, as it was the case with our mighty amplifier that was dissipating 15W of heat.
