Wir sind eine private, deutsche Hilfsorganisation, die Straßenkinder und notleidende Familien in Uromi/Nigeria unterstützt. Seit 2021 unterstützen wir notleidende Straßenkinder und bedürftige Familien in Uromi, Nigeria. Ju­de wur­de in Ur­omi ge­bo­ren und lebt und ar­bei­tet seit vie­len Jah­ren in Augs­burg. Sa­bi­ne ist Pro­jekt­lei­te­rin in ei­nem A

r­chi­tek­tur­bü­ro, 3-fa­che Mut­ter und die Part­ne­rin von Ju­de. Bei­de le­ben in ei­ner ge­mein­sa­men Woh­nung in Fried­berg. Bei ei­ner ge­mein­sa­men Rei­se 2020 in die Ge­burts­stadt von Ju­de wur­de Sa­bi­ne di­rekt mit dem Leid kon­fron­tiert, das in Ur­omi herrscht. Die Ein­drü­cke lie­ßen Sa­bi­ne nicht mehr los und so be­schlos­sen die bei­den, ei­ne Hilfs­ak­ti­on zu star­ten, um das Le­ben der be­son­ders be­dürf­ti­gen Men­schen in Ur­omi zu ver­bes­sern. Die Idee zu "Hands to­ge­ther for Ur­omi" war ge­bo­ren und wur­de im Sep­tem­ber 2021 mit der Ein­tra­gung als ge­mein­nüt­zi­ger Ver­ein VR 203325 im Ver­eins­re­gis­ter Augs­burg in die Tat um­ge­setzt. Mit ei­ner zen­tra­len An­lauf­sta­ti­on un­ter der Füh­rung von Ma­ma Doris ha­ben wir be­gon­nen, täg­lich Es­sens­ra­tio­nen für Stra­ßen­kin­der und be­dürf­ti­ge Fa­mi­li­en zu ver­tei­len. Dar­über hin­aus sorgt un­ser Ver­ein da­für, dass ärzt­li­che Not­fall­ver­sor­gung mög­lich wird und so Kran­ken ge­hol­fen wer­den kann. Aktuelle Hilfsangebote

Im Moment bieten wir mit unserem Versorgungs- und Unterstützungszentrum folgende Hilfen für Straßenkinder und notleidende Familien an:

• sichere Anlaufstation für Straßenkinder
• Essensrationen für Straßenkinder und überforderte Familien, die sich selber nicht mehr aus eigener Kraft versorgen können
• Zugang zu frischem Trinkwasser
• Bekleidung für Bedürftige
• ärztliche Versorgung von Notfällen und bei lebensbedrohlichen Erkrankungen

Since 2021 we support needy street children and families in Uromi, Nigeria. We, that is Jude and Sabine. Jude was born in Uromi and has been living and working in Augsburg in the logistics industry for many years. Sabine is a project manager in an architectural office, mother of 3 and Jude's partner. Both live in a shared apartment in Friedberg (Germany). During a joint trip in 2020 to Jude's birthplace, Sabine was directly confronted with the suffering that prevails in Uromi. The indescribable poverty and the conditions under which the inhabitants struggle every day for bare survival are shocking for European minds and hard to process. The impressions of this trip did not let Sabine go and so the two decided to start a relief action to improve the lives of the most needy people in Uromi. The idea of "Hands together for Uromi" was born and was put into action in September 2021 with the registration as a non-profit association VR 203325 in the register of associations in Augsburg. With a one-stop store under the leadership of Mama Doris, we have begun to distribute daily food rations to street children and needy families. At the moment, through our Care and Support Center, we offer the following assistance to street children and families in need:

• Safe haven for street children
• Food rations for street children and overburdened families who can no longer provide for themselves by their own efforts
• Access to fresh drinking water
• Clothing for the needy
• Medical care for emergencies and for life-threatening illnesses
