📣 You're invited to an Ataya Dialogue with Rex Osa from Refugees4Refugees
“No one should have to flee – but everyone should be allowed to migrate.”
From 12 June 2026, the reform of the Common European Asylum System (CEAS/GEAS) will be fully implemented across all EU Member States. But what does this actually mean for people seeking protection in Germany? How will these changes affect their everyday lives? And what possibilities are there to resist the politics of "Fortress Europe"?
We invite you to join the conversation.
Our guest, human rights activist Rex Osa, came to Germany from Nigeria as a refugee almost 20 years ago. Today, through Refugees4Refugees, he advocates for human dignity, freedom of movement, and the rights of refugees. Joining us via video call from Nigeria, where he continues his support work, Rex will share insights into his advocacy and networking efforts led by refugees themselves. Afterwards, you'll have the opportunity to take part in an open discussion.
The dialogue will be accompanied by the traditional Senegalese tea ceremony, Ataya, prepared by Fatou Ndiaye. The event will be moderated by Valéria Silva Fekete.
