🌍 Today, on World Refugee Day, we stand in solidarity with millions of people around the world who have been forced to flee their homes in search of safety, dignity, and hope.

This year's theme, "Until Everyone is Safe," reminds us that safety is more than the absence of conflict. It means having access to education, healthcare, opportunities, and communities where everyone feels welcomed and valued.

At TAFISA, we believe that Sport for All has a role to play in creating these safe and inclusive spaces. Through sport, people can connect, rebuild their lives, strengthen communities, and find a sense of belonging, regardless of their background or circumstances.

Together, let us continue to build a world where everyone has the opportunity to move, play, connect, and thrive.

Which voices are we still missing from sport, and why?

We are excited to announce our next TAFISA Mission 2030 Webinar:

🏅 No One on the Sidelines: Intersectionality and the Missing Voices in Sport for All

For too many people, barriers to sport are not just one thing. They are layered, shaped by disability, migration status, gender, age, and more, all at once. This webinar explores what it means to design sport that truly works for everyone, not just those who fit the default.

Join us for a conversation with researchers, practitioners, and community voices working at the intersection of sport and social inclusion.

Today, on the International Day of Play, we celebrate the joy, creativity, and connection that play brings to people of all ages.

At TAFISA, we believe that play is an essential element of Sport for All. By creating environments where everyone can move, explore, and engage through play, we help build healthier, happier, and more connected communities worldwide.

Let's champion the right to play and ensure that everyone, everywhere, has the opportunity to experience its benefits.

The Give Sport a Say project continued its mission of strengthening civic engagement through sport during the TAFISA World Congress 2026 in Prague, where participants from across Europe explored how sport can contribute to democratic participation, European values, and active citizenship.

From activation exercises that sparked conversations about EU identity and belonging, to informative totems with quizzes about EU institutions and citizens' rights — participants engaged in meaningful dialogue about what it means to be an active EU citizen.

Disclaimer: "Give Sport a Say: give citizens a real say for the future of the EU in and through sports" is co-funded by the European Union through the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) Programme, within the Citizens Engagement call."

On the sidelines of the TAFISA World Congress, the SUCCEED Governing Committee and Advisory Board sat down together on the 12 and 13 May 2026 for two days of focused, and strategic work.

Key areas of focus included discussions on operationalising the Theory of Change, strengthening monitoring and evaluation systems, clarifying SUCCEED’s value proposition, and further strengthening collaboration across the consortium.

A highlight of the meeting was hearing directly from partners about the impact being created through programmes such as the Safe and Positive Coaching Girls Pathway, TAFISA Certified Leadership Course, Sportanddev MOOC, Remedy Fundraising Course, SIMS by Espana se Mauve, Physical Literacy by Sport for Life , and other TAFISA capacity building initiatives reaching coaches, practitioners, communities and sport leaders worldwide.

Partners were also excited to discuss the launch of KESCAB hub (Knowledge and Experience Sharing for Capacity Building), a digital hub that will connect organisations, facilitate knowledge exchange, and strengthen collaboration across the SUCCEED network.

The discussions reinforced a shared commitment to building safer, more inclusive, and more impactful sport environments around the world.

A new chapter of collaboration begins 🤝

At the 29th TAFISA World Congress 2026 in Prague, we officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding with The International Platform on Sport and Development — The International Platform on Sport and Development - formalising our shared commitment to sport as a driver of inclusion, development, and social change.

Together, we'll work on joint advocacy for Sport for All and sport for development policies, cross-promotion of programmes and events, collaborative capacity-building, and expanded global reach - including through the SUCCEED Framework.

"TAFISA and sportanddev have built a strong relationship over many years through a shared commitment to Sport for All and social impact. This MoU marks an exciting new chapter to strengthen our collaboration and create even greater impact together in the future," - TAFISA President Janez Sodržnik
