We are the main platform for former participants of the Fulbright exchange program from both sides of the Atlantic. We aim to strengthen trust, ties and transatlantic co-operation and thus cherish and spread the spirit of the Fulbright program. We do so by organizing numerous events all over Germany. We participate in international activities, offer a number of online and offline publications to

our members and the general public and, last but not least, we sponsor various student grants each year.

Rain capes, neon vests, and zero excuses. 🌧️🧡🧹

August 1st was the Fulbright Association Global Day of Service, and while Berlin gave us a serious downpour, our amazing volunteers still showed up to clean up around Gleisdreieck station!

Huge shoutout to our Berlin organizer for keeping spirits high and leading the crew through the rain. 🙌✨

Events like this organized by the Fulbright Association show what our community is truly about: rolling up our sleeves and taking action for our local neighborhoods, no matter the weather.

We were so lucky to get a fabulous tour of the latest artwork from .xatan, a Fulbright alumni and contemporary artist.

Alungoo showed us her final piece at the UdK Berlin, where she is finishing up her studies. The work was created using a salt mixture and invites us to sit with our emotions about forms and what they mean for us.

Thank you, Alungoo, for taking us into this space and being such a gracious tour guide. Her work was entitled State of Affairs and was part of the 2026 Grad Show at Universität der Künste Berlin

Happy 250th birthday, U.S.A. 🇺🇸

We wish everyone a fun 4th of July! May the spirit of America be with you today.

Many thanks to everyone who celebrated our big 40th anniversary with us recently, where we also reflected on 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence. All the transatlantic memories since that time make stuff for good conversations.

Let’s keep the dialog going strong. Happy Independence Day! 🎆

Registration for our Spring Ball 2026 is officially open!

From April 17th-19th, we’ll gather in beautiful Dresden for a weekend that celebrates everything that makes the Fulbright community so special: inspiring conversations, brilliant minds across disciplines, new connections, old friends — and a Ball evening we won’t forget anytime soon.

On Saturday night, we’ll come together at the stunning Ball- und Brauhaus Watzke for a festive celebration featuring:
🎤 Inspiring speakers
🏆 The announcement of this year’s Mulert Award
🍽️ A dinner buffet
💃 And a dance floor that definitely won’t close early

Beyond the Ball, the weekend offers plenty of opportunities to connect — from Friday’s parallel program options to our General Assembly and a Sunday Scavenger Hunt through Dresden.

Fulbrighters –– Today is !
So we wonder, how does a Fulbright experience lead to fighting a global health crisis?

On today’s special occasion, we’ve released a new eposide of our Fulbright Pulse Podcast: We are talking to our Alumna Anne von Fallois, who is CEO and Chair of the .

Anne’s journey spans from her Fulbright Year ‚91/92 at George Washington University and working on Capitol Hill, through years in the German public sector, to consulting, and finally, leading one of Germany’s most vital public health institutions. She stepped into this role two years ago, on this very day.

In this essential conversation, we discuss:

- How her Fulbright year shaped her mindset of mutual understanding, international collaboration and democratic values.

- The foundation’s critical work, from supporting people living with AIDS in Germany to funding grassroots projects in Kenya, South Africa, and Ukraine.
