📢 Project Completed 📢

📍Ankaful Health Center, Central Region, Ghana 🇬🇭

We’re proud to share that the Ankaful Health Center Water Project has been successfully completed! 🙌

With a final handover ceremony and stakeholder workshop, the system is now officially in the hands of the community and health center staff. The focus: ensuring long-term sustainability – from maintenance and responsibilities to proper system use and billing.

Together, we’ve built not just infrastructure, but a solution that lasts. Clean water is now reliably available for patients and staff – a meaningful step towards better healthcare.

🎓 Emmanuel startet in sein 2. Studienjahr an der University of Mines and Technology in Tarkwa, Ghana 🇬🇭

Für Studiengebühren und Unterkunft werden insgesamt 6.308 GHS (ca. 500 €) benötigt.

Niemand muss diese Summe allein tragen – jeder Beitrag zählt und bringt ihn seinem Abschluss ein Stück näher.

📢 Project Update 📢 We’re happy to share an important and very positive update about our project at Ankaful Health Center.

During the implementation of our planned rainwater project, a more sustainable solution became possible:

➡️ The health center is now connected to the local public water pipeline.

This has always been our long-term goal - but it wasn’t feasible at first due to missing cost and timeline estimates. Thanks to our local partner and the support of community leaders, the government covered part of the pipeline extension - making this connection possible.

The 3,000L tank remains part of the project and will now store treated piped water as a reserve, since water supply interruptions are common.

We’ll keep you updated on the final steps.

💧 New Project: Clean Water from Rainwater!

We’re launching a new initiative at Ankaful Health Center to provide clean and safe water for up to 3000 patients each year.

🌧️ Collect and store rainwater
🧪 Filtered 3000-liter storage tank
📚 Train staff and community members
🌿 Promote better hygiene and sanitation
