VFW Day of Service | May 3, 2025

Today, members of VFW Post 3885 in Erlangen proudly took part in the VFW Day of Service, joining comrades around the world in giving back to our communities.

We spent the day cleaning up around the main train station in Erlangen, helping to create a cleaner and more welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike. It was a meaningful way to honor our commitment to service—both in and out of uniform.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who showed up to lend a hand. Your time and effort reflect the best of what it means to be a veteran in continued service.

As I step down as Commander of VFW Post 3885, I want to express my deepest gratitude to every member, supporter, and veteran who stood beside me these past two years.

It has been an honor of a lifetime to serve in this role. Together, we accomplished something truly special — earning All-American status two years in a row, a first in our Post’s history!

Our Post has grown exponentially, we’ve helped countless veterans with their claims, and we’ve raised unprecedented funds for the Erlangen Children’s Hospital — numbers that were once unimaginable.

Though my time as Commander is coming to an end, my commitment to serving veterans and our community will never fade. I’ll always be here to support our mission and each of you in any way I can.

Thank you for the honor. God Bless our veterans, our community, and God Bless America.

One of many more to come. We couldn’t be more proud and grateful to our members and leadership team. All-American is not something you get easily. And we are leading the way this year as well.
Number 1 in our division and number 1 in Europe!

This is what progress looks like. We are making history here at Post 3885. Membership is now totaled at 115 from last year’s 97, you do the math. Leading the way in Europe.

This is our latest new member being mustered in by our Commander. Congratulations to all our members for great work and dedication.
