konzentriert im Rahmen der Zielsetzung des Vereins seine ganzen Anstrengungen auf ein Projekt: Die langfristige Bildungs- bzw. Ausbildungsförderung der Kinder von Bukom (Accra / Ghana) in finanzieller und materieller Hinsicht. Der Verein bietet den in Armut lebenden Eltern und Angehörigen von Slumkindern aus Bukom an, ihre Kinder in das beschützte Heim von African Angel e.V. Hier erhalten die Kind

er gute Verpflegung, ordentliche Kleidung, Hygiene, ärztliche Versorgung, einen strukturierten Tagesablauf und eine gute Schulbildung. All dies ist normalerweise für ein Kind aus dem Slum von Bukom unerschwinglich. Die Schul- bzw. Kindergartengebühren, die Schulbücher und das Unterrichtsmaterial werden von African Angel e.V. bezahlt. Auch der Transport der Kinder vom African-Angel-Haus zu den Schulen ist durch eigene Mini-Schulbusse sichergestellt, denn öffentliche Verkehrsmittel gibt es nicht. Alle diese Kosten für die heute 98 Kinder müssen durch Spenden von Vereinsmitgliedern, Förderern, Paten und Sponsoren aufgebracht werden. Die Basisversorgung der meisten Kinder im African-Angel-Haus ist dank Patenschaften gesichert, doch bleiben die Schulgebühren, die dreimal pro Jahr (Trimester) für jedes Kind von African Angel e.V. aufgebracht werden müssen, ein sehr schwieriger Kostenpunkt. Daher hoffen wir auf viele neue Schulpatenschaften, damit alles gut fortgeführt werden kann! Heute, nach über 10jähriger Arbeit von Harriet Bruce-Annan und dem African Angel e.V., leben unsere 98 aufgenommenen Kinder auf einem eigenen Gelände mit 3 Häusern, 2 für Jungen, das große Haus für Mädchen, in Lashibi in Accra. Dank der ehrenamtlichen Arbeit unserer aktiven Mitglieder kommt jeder Euro direkt unseren Kindern von Bukom zu Gute. Wir freuen uns über jede Unterstützung!
