- прочитає уривки з казки та познайомить дітей із її героями;
- розповість, як історії про Гупало Василя пов’язані з реальністю війни;

“Dancing Through Adversity”
A documentary film by Lars Ksienzyk

How do you speak about war when words fail? You dance. Waacking, Popping, Krump – three urban dance styles, three personal stories. The protagonists of this film share a common experience: war, emotional paralysis, the loss of meaning.
At first, dance seemed pointless. Later, it became a way to feel, to connect, to continue.
Dance as a safer space. Dance as therapy. Dance as resistance. Dance as a language beyond words. Dance as a way to reach others. This film explores how, even in times of destruction, dance becomes a form of presence, resilience, and healing. Not as entertainment, but as a way to exist.

The foyer will be open one hour before and after the event. Kseniya Lazorenko’s [] short documentary essay They Dance for Life will be shown here: “Dance is a movement that goes beyond the stage — a movement for life itself, for the right of Ukrainians to exist and develop. This essay was created in memory of those who fell defending their homeland and in honour of those who continue the fight.” A presentation by the Ukrainian Culture Network e.V.

What makes Kherson special?🍉🏞️

On this day two years ago, Ukrainian defenders liberated Kherson from Russian forces.
We have compiled a selection of facts about the city and the region that you probably didn’t know.

Kherson region has its own Dead Sea – Lemurian Lake, which is also called Pink Lake.

The largest steppe reserve in Europe is Askania-Nova. German by origin, Friedrich Falz-Fein founded it.

Kherson is known as Ukraine’s Watermelon Capital! It even has a 4-meter monument honoring this iconic berry!

The city where even the rice knows how to party. Yes. Kherson region also grows rice. Try making sushi here, it’s next level!

Stoic Winery [Trubetskyi Winery] is Ukraine’s only historic château. In 1990, wine from here won the Grand Prix at an exhibition in Paris.

The world’s most expensive spice, saffron, is also grown in Kherson.

Kherson was once a major shipbuilding center. Today, it’s a city of resilient people — true heroes.

What impressed you the most?

Long before the arrival of Christianity, ancient Ukrainians practiced paganism, giving rise to a mythology rich in mystical creatures.
Just in time for Halloween, we’ve put together a selection of four characters, each steeped in magical stories and atmosphere.
We’ve created these looks to bring a touch of Ukrainian flair to your Halloween celebration.

🕸️Mavka – also known as a nyavka, is a mythological creature depicted as a beautiful naked girl with flowing hair.

On the outside, they often look just like ordinary girls, but only when viewed from the front.
From behind, however, their otherworldly nature is revealed — mavkas do not have backs, exposing their internal organs.

🕸️Upyr – the Ukrainian predecessor of the vampire, with a unique personality.
A true-born Upyr can be recognized by “six fingers on each hand and foot, and after death, by an unusually fresh, bright-red face.”

🕸️Chuhayster – a benevolent but fearsome forest spirit. He’s a tall figure with a thick beard and long hair, dressed in furs or feathers. Known for protecting people from forest nymphs, he’s also said to dance so powerfully that the forest itself comes alive.

🕸️Witch – in ancient Slavic times, women believed to be witches often served as priestesses and keepers of sacred knowledge.
In Ukrainian folklore, she was described as “not yet old, but engaged in dark deeds” or as an “old woman in black rags” who openly expresses disdain for others. Witches are marked by the “evil eye,” and those “born” as witches might even have a small tail.

The Spas has come — summer has gone 🙌🏻

In Ukraine, the Harvest Festival, known as “Obzhynky”, is a traditional celebration marking the end of the agricultural season.

We are pleased to invite you to the Obzhynky Fest, where we will sing songs together, create a traditional bouquet for Spas, and enjoy apple pie 🙏🏻

🪔 Date: September 7
🪔 Time: 5:00 PM — gathering, 5:30 PM — start
🪔 Location: Hofgarten (NRW Forum)
🪔 Price: 20 € — tickets on sale here: https://t.rausgegangen.de/tickets/obzhynky-fest

On this day, people would honor the «Obzhynkovyi Didukh,» made from the last sheaf, and girls would make wreaths from ears of grain and flowers, singing as they went to the village where the harvest festival began.

Like on Thanksgiving Day, people give thanks to God, nature, and everyone who worked hard for the good harvest. Besides, it is a celebration of family unity as well.

See you! 😉

Join us for a demo TODAY at 19:00 at Shadowplatz, Düsseldorf❗️

Demo russland tötet Ukrainische Kinder

This morning, the 8th of July, russia has once again launched a massive missile strike on peaceful Ukrainian civilians.
They hit the largest children’s hospital in Ukraine «Ohmatdyt». More than 100,000 children are treated there every year.

We cannot stay silent about russian atrocities. Therefore, we come together to remind Europe and the world of the ongoing crimes committed by russia and to stand in solidarity with the children of Ukraine.

Every voice matters. Let’s unite to show our unwavering support for the children and families affected by this war.
Together, we can make a difference!
