Opening the 2026/27 season! Your Silence is Loud is a​ dance performance by internationally acclaimed theater director and choreographer Sagí Amir Gros, bringing together theater, choreography and cinematic elements within an intense physical and visual language. Together with an international ensemble, Gros brings the work to the Emil Schumacher Museum for two special performances.
At its core is Gros’ artistic philosophy, Physical Script: The Body as an Archive. Here, the body becomes a carrier of memory, personal history and identity, while also serving as the foundation for a theatrical dance language.
At a time of growing social division, Your Silence is Loud turns its attention to questions of belonging, memory, empathy and human connection. Personal and collective experiences become visible through movement, theater and cinematic imagery, entering into dialogue with one another.

For the performances at the Emil Schumacher Museum, the work encounters the museum’s distinctive visual and spatial environment, creating an immediate interplay between body, space, image and film.

Your Silence is Loud invites audiences to encounter what cannot be expressed through words alone.

Exciting NEWS: PHYSICAL CAMERA - The Cinematic Physical Script: On May 1st, WDTanztheater presents a celebrated cinematic evening at the Orangerie Theater that explores the intersection of theater, choreography, cinema, and music. Developed by international artists, film director and choreographer Sagí Amir Gros in collaboration with cinematographer Michael Maurissens, Physical Camera proposes a shift in perspective. AUDITION CALL: WDTanztheater is looking for STRONG TECHNICAL DANCERS/Artistic Direction: Sagí Amir Gros.

WDTanztheater, under the leadership of Sagí Amir Gros and József Csaba Hajzer, is seeking experienced professional dancers and stagiers for the current production: “Your Silence is Loud”.

We are specifically looking for artists with excellent ballet technique, strong contemporary work, and physical presence. This is a short-term contract to replace existing roles for our upcoming performance tour.

Physical Script artistic philosophy: Applicants should be prepared to engage with the “Physical Script”, a research-based methodology by Sagí Amir Gros that explores the body as a living archive. We look for dancers capable of stripping away artifice to find meaningful, high-precision physicality that exists at the intersection of classical rigour and contemporary deconstruction, to expose a human connection.

Requirements:

Proven German Residency: Applicants must currently be based in Germany with valid working papers. If you do not live in Germany, please do not apply.

Experience: High-level technical training and a strong professional background.

Availability: Full availability for all dates listed below is mandatory.

Timeline & Locations:

Rehearsals: April 16 – 25, 2026 (Berlin)

Performance Tour: April 26, 29, 30 and May 2, 4, 5 in Cologne, Düsseldorf, and Hagen.

Audition Details:
