Ersten LSBTIQ* - spezifischen migrantischen Selbstorganisation in NRW SOFRA - Q***r Migrants e.V. erste LSBTIQ*-Migrant*innenselbstorganisation in NRW.

Kölner Verein entsteht aus dem Zusammenschluss von „Rainbow Refugees Cologne Support Group e.V. und dem selbstorganisierten Treffen für LSBTIQ*- Geflüchtete und -Migrant*innen, SOFRA. SOFRA ist ein wichtiger Treffpunkt für LSBTIQ*- Geflüchtete und -Migrant*innen und ihre Unterstützer*innen. Aus einer Willkommensinitiative wurde eine migrantische Selbstorganisation, die Mehrfachzugehörigkeit und Pl

uralität zum Thema macht. Unsere Vision ist, dass wir dazu beitragen, dass Rassismus und LSBTIQ*- Feindlichkeit abgebaut wird und unsere monatlichen Treffen ein Anlaufort und Platz für Empowerment und Lebensfreude bleiben.“

Im Jahr 2015 hat sich die Willkommensinitiative Rainbow Refugees Cologne - Support Group gegründet und Begleitungs- und Unterstützungsarbeit für LSBTIQ* -Geflüchtete geleistet. Aus der Basisinitiative wurde ein gemeinnütziger Verein, der auch das selbstorganisierte Projekt SOFRA Cologne als monatlichen Treffpunkt ermöglicht. Sieben Jahre nach der Gründung haben sich die Schwerpunkte der Arbeit verändert. Der Verein hat sich zur ersten LSBTIQ* - spezifischen migrantischen Selbstorganisation in NRW entwickelt. Nun wurde der Schritt mit einer Namensänderung besiegelt und die Gründung wird offiziell am 24. Mai 2022 gefeiert. Die Ziele von SOFRA - Q***r Migrants e.V. bleiben:
• Anlaufstelle zu sein für LSBTIQ* Menschen mit Flucht und/oder Migrationsgeschichte
• Empowerment
• Gemeinsames Feiern
• Politische Arbeit gegen Rassismus und LGBTIQ* -Feindlichkeit
• Uns einmischen in die Stadtgesellschaft als Interessenvertreter*innen

This year’s World Refugee Day comes just days after the implementation of the EU Pact on Migration and Asylum. We raise our concerns about its impact on the rights, safety, and freedom of q***r people seeking protection in Europe.

Solidarity means more than kind words. It means speaking out against policies that put people’s lives at risk.

At SOFRA, we stand with all those resisting borders, deportations, racism, and violence. Refugee rights are human rights.
No one is illegal.✊🏽🏳️‍🌈

Solidarität bedeutet mehr als nur freundliche Worte. Sie bedeutet, sich gegen politische Maßnahmen auszusprechen, die Menschenleben gefährden.

Bei SOFRA stehen wir an der Seite all jener, die sich gegen Grenzen, Abschiebungen, Rassismus und Gewalt einsetzen. Flüchtlingsrechte sind Menschenrechte.
