Today we had our annual EHAA meeting in Cologne!
It was an insightful meeting with many new impulses and exciting topics discussed.

Two years ago, the Agents Association of European Handball Agents was founded under the name “European Handball Agents Association”.
The purpose is to contribute to the creation of better and more transparent conditions for cooperation between clubs, players and agents. An important consequence of our involvement should be the recognition of the role of agents in creating more structure and orderly conditions.
EHAA quickly grew and today consists of more than 50 agents from various European countries. Together they set the course towards establishing a dialogue with other stakeholders concerning topics that the association would like to advance.
There is still some way to go before global guidelines are reached, but EHAA decided to set a precedent by drawing up a code of ethics for its members. These are not laws and regulations, as the association cannot determine this, but rather a Code of Conduct which sets standards for desired behavior from agents who are members of EHAA.
Having been approved by a broad majority of members, the Code of Conduct is ready to be shared with clubs and players. Aim behind the Code of Conduct is to ensure more professional conditions and transparency.
"We are proud to have reached this point," says chairman Andrej Golic and continues: "This, combined with the fact that we are in an ongoing and constructive dialogue with IHF, Forum Club Handball and the European Handball Players Union about future contracts and rules, means that we can already see fruits of our work.
EHAA is represented by 56 agents from 10 countries and has a board of directors with 5 members. There are assemblies every six months, typically in connection with the Final4 Champions League and international championships.

[STATEMENT]
Assembly of EHAA takes further steps towards fully operational status of the association

The EHF Final 4 in Cologne offered the perfect backdrop for the second meeting of EHAA members since the association was founded in 2020. Basics such as voting date and structure of the new EHAA board were agreed by the participants.

Agents with relevant experience offered to take charge of topics such as finance and media, while it was agreed that legal advice should be sought from independent specialists. It was agreed that all individual topics handled by EHAA need approval by the new board.

Main focus of EHAA is to professionalize relations with other stakeholders with the aim to be recognized as stakeholder by handball's governing bodies and professional organizations in our sport.

The members agreed on a twice yearly meeting, the next assembly is scheduled to take place in Stockholm at the men's European championship in January.
