Neueröffnung des Studentenwohnheimes Innere Schneeberger Straße 23, Haus 1 in Zwickau.👉🏠🥳 Am 01.10.2026 sind die ersten Studierenden in ihr neues Zuhause eingezogen.
Nach nur 15 Monaten Bauzeit ist die Modernisierung des Studentenwohnheims weitgehend abgeschlossen. Es sind 287 Wohnplätze entstanden, davon 125 vollmöbilierte Kleinstapartments mit ca. 16 Quadratmetern Wohnfläche, zwei barrierefreie Apartments und 160 Wohnplätze in modernen Zweier-WGs.
Restarbeiten werden noch bis Anfang 2027 erledigt, im Anschluss zieht auch der Studentenclub Null13 zurück ins Wohnheim. Highlight wird die Begrünung der Balkonanlagen der West- und Ostseite des Studentenwohnheimes mit Rankpflanzen.

Das Studentenwerk Chemnitz-Zwickau hat rund 15 Millionen Euro in die Modernisierung des 1971 errichteten Gebäudes investiert. Die Finanzierung erfolgt mit Mitteln des Förderprogramms „Junges Wohnen“, Mitteln des Freistaates Sachsen, des Europäischen Fonds für regionale Entwicklung (EFRE) sowie aus Eigenmitteln des Studentenwerkes.

Reopening of the student hall of residence at Innere Schneeberger Straße 23, Building 1, in Zwickau.👉🏠🥳 On 1 October 2026, the first students moved into their new home.
After just 15 months of construction, the modernisation of the student hall of residence is largely complete. A total of 287 accommodation places have been created, comprising 125 fully furnished studio flats with approximately 16 square metres of living space, two accessible flats and 160 places in modern two-person shared flats.
The remaining work will be completed by early 2027, after which the Null13 student club will also move back into the hall of residence. A highlight will be the greening of the balconies on the west and east sides of the hall of residence with climbing plants.

The Chemnitz-Zwickau Studentenwerk has invested around 15 million euros in the modernisation of the building, which was constructed in 1971. The project is funded by the ‘Junges Wohnen’ support programme, the Free State of Saxony, the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Studentenwerk’s own resources.
