Dear students,

We are happy to invite you on our next trip. On the 5th of September, we are going to embark on a steamboat cruise along the River Elba in Dresden. We are meeting at 10:45 at Chemnitz Hbf. Platform 10. You will be free at around 15:00 in the centre of Dresden and can explore the city after that.

To register for the river cruise, you have to come to Material Office, Thüringer Weg 3, Ü.14 on one of the following appointments:

1. Tuesday 27.08: 15:00-15:30
2. Thursday 29.08: 11:15-11:45
3. Friday 30.08: 14:00-14:30

You have to bring along 5 Euro in cash (because we don't have any change) and your student ID. You can invite your friends and pay for maximum 2 more people, you need to have their student IDs with you too.

on the 28th of May, The House of Cultures is organising a Quiz Night that is specifically geared towards internationality; the questions will be asked in German and English. This relaxed format is intended to open the door to intercultural exchange
This event could be interesting for students of the TU Chemnitz, especially for those with an international background.
The event will start at 18:00 and last until 21:00.
Drinks and snacks can be purchased on-site. The event will be organised in teams of 2-4 people. Please register with the exact number of team participants by 22 May at [email protected]

Wir sind das Haus der Kulturen, eine interkulturelle Begegnungsstätte im Zentrum
von Chemnitz. Unser Ziel ist es, Menschen unterschiedlichster Herkunft
zusammen zu bringen und den Austausch zwischen eben jenen zu fördern. Dafür
wählen wir verschiedene Formate.

Ein neues Angebot soll nun dabei helfen, bislang weniger erreichte Zielgruppen
anzussprechen. Am 28.05. findet bei uns eine Quiz Night statt, die gezielt auf
Internationalität ausgerichtet ist; so werden die Fragen auf Deutsch und Englisch gestellt. Dieses lockere Format soll ein Türöffner für interkulturellen Austausch
sein.

Wir könnten uns vorstellen, dass diese Veranstaltung für Studierende der TU
Chemnitz, besonders für jene mit internationalem Hintergrund, interessant sein
könnte.

Das Event soll um 18:00 Uhr starten und ca. bis 21:00 Uhr dauern. Getränke und
Snacks können vor Ort erworben werden. Gerätselt wird in Teams von 2-4
Personen. Wir bitten um eine Anmeldung mit genauer Anzahl der

Chris Davis is a Berlin based comedian from Glasgow, Scotland. Since 2012 he has grown his stand-up career throughout Europe and beyond finding himself at a multitude of festivals and stages across the globe.

With successful solo shows at Edinburgh and Glasgow Fringe festivals, his whacky wit and bouncing hair will, if you permit, traverse you to a wonderful corner of his mind. For your sake, let’s hope it’s only momentary.

Ludwig Benecke:

He is now based in Berlin and has been described by various people as “funny.”

Dear international students,

we are happy to inform you about our trip to Weimar. We are going to see the town on the 12th of August and have a guided tour in English there. Weimar is situated in Thuringia so to get there, we will go there by bus. We are going to meet at the car park next to Mensa (Reichenhainer Straße, 55) at 8 a.m. and we will be back at around 5 p.m.

To register for the excursion, you can to come to the Material Office, Thüringer Weg, 3, basement floor, on the following days and times:

Wed 02/08: 11:00 - 11:30
Fri 04/08: 08:30-9:00
Tue 08/08: 17:00-17:30

Please, come on time and bring along your Student ID and 7 Euro in cash (we don't have any change so, please, bear this in mind and bring exactly 7 euro). If you want to take a friend with you and this friend is also a student of TU Chemnitz, but they can't come over to the Material Office at the time of the appointments, you can bring along their Student ID and pay 7 Euro for the registration. You can register 1 friend only.

Dear international students,

for our trip to Schloss Augutusburg there are some spots left - so there is still the chance to register and join our trip! :-)

Here are one more time all the important details:
The trip will take place on Saturday, 17.06., and we will meet at Chemnitz Hbf, Platform 9, at 9.20 a.m. to go together to the castle. We will visit the castle itself and take a ride with the cable car - and there will also be a surprise!

To join the trip, you can register in our Material Büro, Thüringer Weg, 3, ground floor:

- 15.06.2023 (Thu): 12:30 - 1:30
- 16.06. 2023 (Fri): 11:30 - 12:00 (only if spots are still left)

For the registration, please bring along your Student ID and 3 Euro (exactly - we don't hand out change).

Please keep in mind, that for the trip your student ID serves as train ticket, so don't forget to bring it, as well as some food or water if needed. You'd also have the opportunity to buy something in the cafés right there.
