Baufortschritt bei dem JAL VILLAGE FLOOD/LANDSLIDE RELIEF PROJECT

Als Schnee und Eis Bauen oft nicht möglich machte, kamen die Opfer der Erdrutsche bei Familienangehörigen unter. Jetzt sind die harten Wintermonate vorbei und es kann weitergebaut werden.

When snow and ice often made building impossible, the victims of the landslides stayed with relatives. Now the harsh winter months are over and construction can continue.

Muhammad Naseem – NARJIS KHATOON SCHOOL FOR DEAF
Training and Continuing Education in GERMANY
January 19 – February 16, 2026

Following our motto of "helping people to help themselves," we invited Muhammad Naseem, whom we had already trained as an audiologist at our partner NARJIS KHATOON SCHOOL FOR DEAF SKARDU, to a 4-week AUDIOLOGY TRAINING PROGRAM in GERMANY.
From January 19 to February 16 he participated in a program in Schleswig-Holstein, where he received the necessary knowledge and practical skills for his work in the Audiology at the ENT Center Flensburg, Hörstudio Hedler Flensburg, Michael Eggers Hearing Acoustics Bordesholm, the Schleswig State Center for Hearing & Communication, the Schleswig Cochlear Implant Center, and the Mohr Hearing Aids Neumünster otoplastics laboratory.
With the skills acquired, Muhammad will be able to independently conduct examinations of children and adolescents and, if necessary, provide them with hearing aids.

PAKISTAN-Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe e.V. will likely continue to provide on-site support for another 2-3 years with the FREE EAR CAMP Team, also assisting with complex cases from Germany.
The primary focus of PAKISTAN-Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe e.V.'s work for hearing-impaired children in BALTISTAN in the coming years will be the planning for the construction of a new school, a hostel, and an audiology center.
With this major project, we aim to secure the future of the work at the NARJIS KHATOON SCHOOL FOR DEAF SKARDU.

Muhammad Naseem – NARJIS KHATOON SCHOOL FOR DEAF
Aus- und Weiterbildung in DEUTSCHLAND
19. Januar – 16. Februar 2026

Unserem Motto 'Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe' folgend hatten wir Muhammad Naseem, den wir bei unserem Partner NARJIS KHATOON SCHOOL FOR DEAF SKARDU vor Ort zum Audiologist ‘grundausgebildet‘ hatten, zu einem 4-wöchigen AUDIOLOGY TRAINING PROGRAM nach DEUTSCHLAND eingeladen.

Vom 19. Januar bis 16. Februar durchlief er in SCHLESWIG-HOLSTEIN ein Programm, bei dem ihm im HNO Zentrum FLENSBURG, bei Hörstudio Hedler FLENSBURG, Michael Eggers Hörakustik BORDESHOLM, dem Landesförderzentrum Hören & Kommunikation SCHLESWIG, dem Cochlea Implant Centrum SCHLESWIG und dem Otoplastiklabor Hörgeräte Mohr NEUMÜNSTER das für seine Arbeit in der Audiologie erforderliche Wissen und handwerkliche Fähigkeiten vermittelt wurde.

Mit dem Erlernten wird er in der Lage sein, die Untersuchung von Kindern/Jugendlichen und bei Bedarf ihre Versorgung mit Hörgeräten eigenständig wahrzunehmen.
PAKISTAN-Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe e.V. wird voraussichtlich noch 2 -3 Jahre mit dem FREE EAR CAMP Team vor Ort und bei Problemfällen aus DEUTSCHLAND helfen.
Schwerpunkt der Arbeit für die hörbehinderten Kinder in BALTISTAN wird für PAKISTAN-Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe e.V. in den nächsten Jahren die Planung für den Neubau einer Schule, eines Hostels und einer Audiology sein.
Mit diesem Großprojekt wollen wir dazu beitragen, die Zukunft der Arbeit der NARJIS KHATOON SCHOOL FOR DEAF SKARDU zu sichern.

HAQ MODEL SCHOOL AWAN SHARIF - SCHOOL ADMISSION

Construction work in AWAN SHARIF is nearing completion. Our charity member Dr. Jameela Abdul Haq can now begin registering students with the staff she has recruited. Soon, children who previously had no opportunity to learn will be able to attend school. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made the realization of this project possible with their donations!

HAQ MODEL SCHOOL AWAN SHARIF - SCHOOL ADMISSION

Die Bauarbeiten in AWAN SHARIF stehen kurz vor dem Abschluss. Unser Vereinsmitglied Dr. Jameela Abdul Haq kann jetzt mit dem von ihr gewonnenen Personal mit der Anmeldung von Schülern beginnen.
Bald werden Kinder zur Schule gehen können, die bisher keine Chance zum Lernen hatten.
Ein herzliches Danke allen, die mit ihren Spenden die Realisierung dieses Projektes ermöglicht haben!

JAL VILLAGE FLOOD/LANDSLIDE RELIEF PROJECT - Location of 5 Houses

As mentioned in the last report, safer building sites have been found for the construction of houses for the victims of the August 2025 flood/landslides.
The two Google Earth images show where 5 of the total 11 houses will be built.
Friends familiar with the region around NANGA PARBAT know the advantages of these building sites. Even those unfamiliar with the area can see that the families will be able to live more safely in the future.
We will report on the development of the project as soon as we receive further information.

JAL VILLAGE FLOOD/LANDSLIDE RELIEF PROJECT - Lage 5 Häuser

Wie schon im letzten Bericht geschrieben, konnten sicherere Bauplätze für den Bau der Häuser für Opfer der Flut/Erdrutsche des August 2025 gefunden werden.
Die beiden Google Earth Bilder zeigen wo 5 der insgesamt 11 Häuser gebaut werden.
Freunde, die sich in der Region um den NANGA PARBAT auskennen, wissen um die Vorteile dieser Bauplätze. Selbst Ortsunkundige können sehen, die Familien werden in Zukunft sicherer leben können.
Über die Entwicklung des Projektes werden wir berichten, sobald wir weitere Informationen bekommen.

JAL VILLAGE
FLOOD/LANDSLIDE RELIEF PROJECT

In August of last year, we reported on the landslides in JAL VILLAGE (near NANGA PARBAT), in which 11 families lost everything.

We decided to help these families, with the support of our friend Liver Khan (NANGA PARBAT ADVENTURE), by rebuilding houses.

Generous donations made the realization of the project possible.
Liver Khan found plots downstream in less dangerous areas, which are being used for the construction of the houses.

Now we are receiving the first photos and videos, allowing us to show what the donations have made possible.

We will provide updates on the construction progress.
