🇻🇦 Addressing the Spanish Parliament, Pope Leo XIV delivered a powerful defense of human dignity, condemning both abortion and euthanasia.

The Holy Father stressed that the protection of human life is not a political agenda or a religious preference, but a fundamental measure of a truly civilized society. He affirmed that every human person deserves recognition, protection, and love from the moment of conception until natural death.

Pope Leo warned that when the value of human life becomes uncertain, the weakest and most vulnerable members of society suffer first, and the law risks losing its essential purpose: to serve and safeguard every human person.

He concluded by saying that the true moral strength of a nation is revealed in how it treats those who are most fragile—whether the unborn, the elderly, the sick, the disabled, or those living on the margins—and in its willingness to accompany, protect, and love them.
