Together, let’s create a sustainable, just, and inclusive world. The UN SDG Action Campaign is a special initiative of the UN Secretary-General, hosted by the Executive Office of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and based in Bonn, Germany. The Campaign is mandated to engage, campaign, and catalyze positive change towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), while advocating for the rethinking, recalibrating, and reimagining of economies and societies to better serve people and the planet. The UN SDG Action Campaign works with partners to drive transformational change across economies and societies, enabling us to rise to the SDGs. The Campaign believes in the importance of meaningful civic participation in policy-making and processes related to the SDGs at all levels, ensuring a more inclusive multilateral system and greater accountability. The UN SDG Action Campaign convenes strategy meetings and consultations with civil society organizations, youth, and other stakeholders to facilitate their engagement in decision-making processes. The Campaign believes in the power of advocacy and campaigning to amplify impact and respond more effectively to the complexities of our times. That’s why it provides advocacy and campaigning support to partners through impactful, open-source campaigns. These campaigns leverage creative mediums—from digital art exhibitions to physical activations—to inspire and engage audiences, influence political processes, and tap into humanity’s creative power for good. Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals requires systemic and cross-sector collaboration. At the Business Fights Poverty Global Goals Summit 2026, UN SDG Action Campaign Acting Director Xavier Longan joined leaders from Save the Children, TechnoServe, and Business Fights Poverty to address a central theme: How Can Purposeful Connection Spark Stronger Collaboration?

In his address, Xavier Longan highlighted the foundation of impactful partnerships: “The Sustainable Development Goals provide a shared destination. Genuine partnership begins by turning a shared vision into shared ownership, building trust across differences, and keeping a clear focus on improving people’s lives, even when interests differ.”

At the UN SDG Action Campaign, we remain committed to fostering multi-stakeholder coalitions that bridge public policy, private sector innovation, and frontline community leadership to deliver measurable impact for the 2030 Agenda.
