Mabuhay! It sounds like the Ube Fiesta 2026 at Jungenpark Köln was an absolutely massive success!

Representing Enfid ( European Network of Filipino Diaspora) Germany in full Filipiniana attire must have been a stunning sight. Walking in the opening parade to kick off a festival that drew 25,000 visitors is an incredible achievement for the community-especially with temperature hitting that swelering 37 C heat wave, making Köln feel exactly like a summer day back home in the Philippines!
There is truly nothing like the comport of Pinoy culture when you are abroad. Your recap highlights the absolute best parts of a classic Barrio Fiesta;

The Food; Nothing beats the smoke of authentic inasal or Filipino barbecue on a hot summer day , all washed down with a towering glass of icy colorful halo-halo.

The Nostalgia; Hearing about games like pabitin , sungka , tug of war , Patintero and brings back instant childhood memories.It is so special that children growing up in Germany got to experience those same traditional games.

The Community : Bringing together Filipinos from different states across Germany, neighboring European countries, and local Germans shows just how much the love for Filipino culture-and the legendary purple yam-is exploding in Europe right now.
