🌱 Supporting sustainable cashew cultivation in Cambodia
Through the “Strengthened Technologies and Resources for Indigenous Women in Agriculture (STRIVE)” project, funded by the European Union in Cambodia, farmers in Ratanakiri Province are strengthening their skills in sustainable cashew cultivation - from pruning techniques to effective fertilizer application.
👩‍🌾 Twenty-seven farmers, including 20 women, participated in the training, helping to strengthen local knowledge on climate-resilient farming practices, improve crop management, and support more sustainable agricultural production and livelihoods.
Together with the Provincial Agriculture Department and our partner, the Non-Timber Forest Products Organization (NTFP PAGE), we continue to support practical knowledge that contributes to safer production, stronger resilience to climate-related challenges, and more sustainable food systems.
🌿 Supporting farmers today for more resilient livelihoods tomorrow.

🥬🫛Healthy vegetables are grown here! And that's not something to be taken for granted. Because these pictures were taken in Turkana West, Kenya.

It rains irregularly here, and water is scarce. Many people are poor and make their living from livestock farming and agriculture. Droughts mean that families do not have enough to eat.

➡️Here’s how we support 400 farmers and their families:

🌱They receive high-quality, drought-resistant seeds and tools.
💡In training sessions, they learn how to grow enough crops despite unfavorable weather conditions.
🚰By repairing boreholes, we ensure that there is enough water available for the fields.
💧60 dedicated community members work to ensure that water remains available. We receive expertise and financial resources.

Our Goals:
➡️Richer harvests
➡️More food and water for everyone
➡️Income for families
🫶🏾Less reliance on external assistance.

📍Chin State, Myanmar: Mr. Dik Liana is one of many farmers transforming his future through coffee cultivation. What began with guidance and training has grown into more than 2,000 coffee plants, improved food security, and renewed hope for his family and community. 🌱☕

🧑🏻‍🌾In Chin State, Myanmar, many families depend on agriculture for survival. Yet food insecurity remains a daily challenge. Through training, technical support, and community collaboration, coffee farming is becoming a sustainable livelihood for farmers in Zimte Village.

Together with our local partner, we continue supporting resilient livelihoods and sustainable agriculture for communities in Myanmar.

Women’s health is a right — not a privilege.
Today, on the International Day of Action for Women’s Health, we are reminded that women’s health rights are still under threat worldwide.
676 million women and girls live near armed conflict, while more than 700 women and girls die every day from pregnancy and childbirth complications in conflict-affected countries. At the same time, global military spending continues to rise.
We are committed to stronger investment in healthcare, mental health support, protection, and care systems for all women and girls.

We’re watching the outbreak in eastern DRC with deep concern. The rare Bundibugyo strain has driven reports of 900+ suspected cases and hundreds of deaths. As the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda continue responding to the Ebola outbreak, preparedness in the neighbouring countries has never been more important.
That is why our teams in Kenya and South Sudan working hand in hand with health authorities, partners and communities to strengthen preparedness: supporting infection prevention and control, reinforcing surveillance and frontline readiness, and improving risk communication at health facilities and border points.
“From my personal perspective as a health worker, one of the major concerns is that the outbreak is occurring in already fragile health systems, where there is a lack of sufficient health personnel and a risk of disruption to essential health services”, says our Global Health Advisor, Aisha Liman.
Behind every preparedness effort are people who deserve protection before a crisis unfolds.
Preparedness saves lives. Acting early means protecting communities, supporting frontline health workers, and helping prevent emergencies from becoming tragedies.

🇪🇨🏉For these children from Ecuador, rugby is much more than just a sport. The kids come from difficult backgrounds, have experienced violence, and often lack hope. In our project with the organization HUMA RUGBY Ecuador, 350 children and teenagers train together, guided by coaches and psychologists who provide them with mental support. For change that lasts a lifetime. 🌺

Access to healthcare should never depend on income or location. Through our clinics, women like Gul Sanga, Nargas, and Roshan are receiving the care they otherwise couldn’t reach.
Gul Sanga finally found the right diagnosis after months of illness - without the burden of cost. Nargas safely delivered her baby after receiving essential antenatal care. And Roshan regained stability through mental health support, and is now inspiring others to speak up.
These are more than stories; they are turning points.
💙 Bringing care closer. Changing lives every day.
