Family-oriented hospitals place the dignity and rights of the mother, partner, and newborn at the heart of care, ensuring that the family remains actively involved throughout childbirth, including cesarean delivery if necessary, and recovery.

This approach combines the supportive, home-like atmosphere of natural births with the safety and efficacy of evidence-based medical practices.

NESA supports hospitals in adopting this model and certifies those that meet its standards as Family-Oriented Hospitals.

The key principles include informed choice, presence of the partner, respectful newborn care, and avoiding unnecessary interventions.

This approach ensures that childbirth aligns with the standards of the 21st century while honoring the family's dignity.
