TOMORROW at Bavul: Kapela Kotra concert!

Come hear this Belarusian-Australian duo tomorrow night. They're performing traditional and contemporary folk music from Belarus, Ukraine, Lithuania and Poland—working from early 20th century field recordings and arranging them with fresh energy while keeping that historical soul.

After their wonderful workshop with us in March, they're back! Come experience these vibrant arrangements. Familiar faces and newcomers both welcome.

CONCERT RECAP 🎻🎻🎻
This week, we had the pleasure of hosting a concert with Jeff Warschauer, Deborah Strauss, and Zilyin Biret for the Brooklyn Klezmer Réunion: In My Garden concert.

This was a packed evening of instrumental performances, singing, dancing, (and some jokes, course) with music from Moldova to Réunion.

What a pleasure to be a part of journey though the centuries, exploring the roots of Ashkenazi culture with such incredible musicians and presenting a historic first ever double bill concert with and Simchat Hanefesh, and lectures by the brilliant Dr. Diana Matut and .knif.e .

It was a joy to welcome them all into our community - thank you to everyone who listened, smiled, and shared these beautiful moments with us!
